Abstract

A first clothing item is provided comprised of a first portion and a second portion, wherein the second portion of the first clothing item is configured so that it can be attached to or detached from the first portion of the first clothing item. A second clothing item is provided, comprised of a first portion and a second portion, wherein the second portion of the second clothing item is configured so that it can be attached to or detached from the second portion of the second clothing item. The second portions of the first and second clothing items may have the same first design. Alternate portions can replace the second portions so that alternate designs are provided.

I claim: 
     
         1 . An apparatus comprising:
 a first clothing item; and   a second clothing item;   wherein the first clothing item is comprised of a first portion and a second portion, wherein the second portion of the first clothing item is configured so that it can be attached to or detached from the first portion of the first clothing item;   wherein the second clothing item is comprised of a first portion and a second portion, wherein the second portion of the second clothing item is configured so that it can be attached to or detached from the second portion of the second clothing item;   wherein the second portion of the first clothing item has a first design; and   wherein the second portion of the second clothing item has the first design.   
     
     
         2 . The apparatus of  claim 1  further comprising
 a first alternate portion which can be attached to or detached from the first portion of the first clothing item in place of the second portion of the first clothing item; and 
 a second alternate portion which can be attached to or detached from the first portion of the second clothing item in place of the second portion of the second clothing item; and 
 wherein each of the first alternate portion and the second alternate portion has a second design which is different from the first design. 
 
     
     
         3 . The apparatus of  claim 1   wherein the first clothing item is a cuff link; and   wherein the second clothing item is a tie knot cover.   
     
     
         4 . The apparatus of  claim 1   wherein the first clothing item is a button hole cover; and   wherein the second clothing item is a cuff link.   
     
     
         5 . The apparatus of  claim 1  wherein
 wherein the first clothing item is a tie bar which is configured to attach to an elongated portion of a tie; and 
 wherein the second clothing item is a tie knot cover. 
 
     
     
         6 . The apparatus of  claim 1  wherein
 wherein the first clothing item is a watch; and 
 wherein the second clothing item is a tie knot cover. 
 
     
     
         7 . The apparatus of  claim 1  wherein
 wherein the first clothing item is a ring; and 
 wherein the second clothing item is a tie knot cover. 
 
     
     
         8 . The apparatus of  claim 3  wherein
 the tie knot cover includes a device for attaching a chain. 
 
     
     
         9 . The apparatus of  claim 3  wherein
 the tie knot cover is a bow tie knot cover. 
 
     
     
         10 . The apparatus of  claim 1  wherein
 each of the first clothing item and the second clothing item is an item of jewelry. 
 
     
     
         11 . A method comprising
 attaching a first clothing item to clothes on a person;   attaching a second clothing item to clothes on the person, while the first clothing item is attached to the person;   wherein the first clothing item is comprised of a first portion and a second portion, wherein the second portion of the first clothing item is configured so that it can be attached to or detached from the first portion of the first clothing item;   wherein the second clothing item is comprised of a first portion and a second portion, wherein the second portion of the second clothing item is configured so that it can be attached to or detached from the second portion of the second clothing item;   wherein the second portion of the first clothing item has a first design; and   wherein the second portion of the second clothing item has the first design.   
     
     
         12 . The method of  claim 11  further comprising
 detaching the second portion of the first clothing item from the first portion of the first clothing item; 
 attaching a first alternate portion to the first portion of the first clothing item, wherein the first alternate portion can be attached or detached to the first portion of the first clothing item in place of the second portion of the first clothing item; and 
 detaching the second portion of the second clothing item from the first portion of the second clothing item; 
 attaching a second alternate portion to the first portion of the second clothing item, wherein the second alternate portion can be attached or detached to the first portion of the second clothing item in place of the second portion of the second clothing item; and 
 wherein each of the first alternate portion and the second alternate portion has a second design which is different from the first design. 
 
     
     
         13 . The method of  claim 11   wherein the first clothing item is a cuff link; and   wherein the second clothing item is a tie knot cover.   
     
     
         14 . The method of  claim 11   wherein the first clothing item is a button hole cover; and   wherein the second clothing item is a cuff link.
