Abstract

Systems and methods for augmenting an image sequence with content are disclosed. A system may include a character generator, a graphics frame buffer and a graphics insertion system. The character generator may generate pixel block content. The graphics frame buffer may be in communication with the character generator and store the pixel block content. The graphics insertion system may be in communication with the first graphics frame buffer. The graphics insertion system may be used to retrieve the pixel block content from the first graphics frame buffer and modify an image sequence with an insert graphic based on the pixel block content.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
We claim:

1 . A system for augmenting an image sequence with content, the system comprising:
a character generator for generating pixel block content; a first graphics frame buffer, in communication with the character generator, wherein the first graphics frame buffer stores the pixel block content; and a graphics insertion system, in communication with the first graphics frame buffer, wherein the graphics insertion system performs the following:
retrieving the pixel block content from the first graphics frame buffer, and
modifying an image sequence with an insert graphic based on the pixel block content.

2 . A method of augmenting an image sequence with content, the method comprising:
generating pixel block content using a character generator; storing the pixel block content in a graphics frame buffer; retrieving the pixel block content from the graphic frame buffer; and modifying an image sequence with an insert graphic based on the pixel block content using a graphics insertion system.
