Gaming machine, method and computer program for controlling the same, and computer-readable storage medium having the program stored therein
Abstract
A gaming machine including a display, a plurality of reels displayed on the display, each reel being arranged side by side so as to independently rotate in a vertical direction, a plurality of display areas forming the reel, each display area having a hexagonal shape for displaying an indicium, each display area being connected with each other in the vertical direction via a horizontal side of the hexagonal shape, and a controller, which determines a win occurrence in a case where an identical kind of indicium is stationarily displayed on at least two of the display areas which are adjacently arranged via an upwardly-sloping direction slope or a downwardly-sloping side of the hexagonal shape of the display area.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A gaming machine, comprising:
a display; a plurality of reels displayed on the display, each reel being arranged side by side so as to rotate in a vertical direction; a plurality of display areas forming the reel, each display area having a hexagonal shape for displaying an indicium, each display area being connected with each other in the vertical direction via a horizontal side of the hexagonal shape; and a controller, which determines a win occurrence in a case where an identical kind of indicium is stationarily displayed on at least two of the display areas which are adjacently arranged via an upwardly-sloping direction slope or a downwardly-sloping side of the hexagonal shape of the display area.
2 . The gaming machine as set forth in claim 1 ,
wherein a line connecting two display areas situated both ends of the display areas showing an identical kind of indicium and adjacently arranged via an upwardly-sloping direction slope or/and a downwardly-sloping side of the hexagonal shape is regarded as a winning line.
3 . The gaming machine as set forth in claim 1 ,
wherein the indicium includes a special indicium which substitutes all kinds of the indicium.
4 . The gaming machine as set forth in claim 1 ,
wherein the gaming machine is a slot machine.
5 . A method of controlling a gaming machine performed by a computer, the method comprising the steps of:
providing a display; displaying a plurality of reels on the display, each reel being arranged side by side so as to rotate in a vertical direction; forming the reel with a plurality of display areas, each display area having a hexagonal shape for displaying an indicium, each display area being connected with each other in the vertical direction via a horizontal side of the hexagonal shape; and determining a win occurrence in a case where an identical kind of indicium is stationarily displayed on at least two of the display areas which are adjacently arranged via an upwardly-sloping direction slope or a downwardly-sloping side of the hexagonal shape of the display area.
6 . The method of controlling a gaming machine performed by a computer as set forth in claim 5 ,
wherein a line connecting two display areas situated both ends of the display areas showing the identical kind of indicium and adjacently arranged via an upwardly-sloping direction slope or/and a downwardly-sloping side of the hexagonal shape is regarded as a winning line.
7 . The method of controlling a gaming machine performed by a computer as set forth in claim 5 ,
wherein the indicium includes a special indicium which substitutes all kinds of the indicium.
8 . A computer-readable storage medium, in which a program for causing a computer to execute the control method as set forth in claim 5 is stored.
9 . A gaming machine, comprising:
a display; a plurality of reels displayed on the display, each reel being arranged side by side; a plurality of display areas forming the reel, each display area having a hexagonal shape for displaying an indicium, each display area being connected with each other in a reel rotation direction via a side of the hexagonal shape, the side being orthogonal to the reel rotation direction; and a controller, which determines a win occurrence in a case where an identical kind of indicium is stationarily displayed on at least two of the display areas which are adjacently arranged in a direction obliquely crossing the reel rotation direction.
10 . The gaming machine as set forth in claim 9 ,
wherein a line connecting two display areas situated both ends of the display areas showing an identical kind of indicium and adjacently arranged in a direction obliquely crossing the reel rotation direction is regarded as a winning line.
11 . The gaming machine as set forth in claim 9 ,
wherein the indicium includes a special indicium which substitutes all kinds of the indicium.
12 . The gaming machine as set forth in claim 9 ,
wherein the gaming machine is a slot machine.
13 . A method of controlling a gaming machine performed by a computer, the method comprising the steps of:
providing a display; displaying a plurality of reels on the display, each reel being arranged side by side; forming the reel with a plurality of display areas, each display area having a hexagonal shape for displaying an indicium, each display area being connected with each other in a reel rotation direction via a side of the hexagonal shape, the side being orthogonal to the reel rotation direction; and determining a win occurrence in a case where an identical kind of indicium is stationarily displayed on at least two of the display areas which are adjacently arranged in a direction obliquely crossing the reel rotation direction.
14 . The method of controlling a gaming machine performed by a computer as set forth in claim 13 ,
wherein a line connecting two display areas situated both ends of the display areas showing an identical kind of indicium and adjacently arranged in a direction obliquely crossing the reel rotation direction is regarded as a winning line.
15 . The method of controlling a gaming machine performed by a computer as set forth in claim 13 ,
wherein the indicium includes a special indicium which substitutes all kinds of the indicium.
16 . A computer-readable storage medium, in which a program for causing a computer to execute the control method as set forth in claim 13 is stored.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
