Non-Pyrotechnic Explosive Device Simulator System
Abstract
An explosive device simulator system has a housing in the shape of an explosive device. The simulator includes a sound producing system inside the housing. A light producing system inside the housing receives an actuation signal from a trigger system. The trigger system may include a microcontroller, which can be used to include a delay between a trigger event and the actuation signal. The simulator may include a smoke producing system that includes a powder that is dispersed by a gas generator. The powder exits the housing through a number of vents. A cordite odor substance may be included in the powder to provide a realistic smell of an exploded device. A light producing system provides the flash of a real explosive device and is connected to the microcontroller.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A non-pyrotechnic explosive device simulator system, comprising:
a housing having a shape of an explosive device; a sound generator system inside the housing; a smoke producing system inside the housing, the sound producing system synchronized with the sound generating system; and a light producing system connected to the housing.
2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the sound generator system includes a squib.
3 . The system of claim 1 , further including an odor producing system inside the housing.
4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the housing has a plurality of vents.
5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the smoke producing system includes a gas generator.
6 . The system of claim 5 , wherein the gas generator includes a squib.
7 . The system of claim 5 , wherein the smoke producing system includes a powder.
8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the light producing system is synchronized with the sound generating system.
9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the light producing system strobes at a predetermined rate.
10 . The system of claim 1 , further including a trigger system attached to the housing.
11 . The system of claim 10 , further including a microcontroller receiving a trigger signal from the trigger system.
12 . A non-pyrotechnic explosive device simulator system, comprising
a housing; a trigger system attached to the housing; a sound system inside the housing and receiving a trigger signal from the trigger system; and a light producing system attached to the housing and receiving the trigger signal from the trigger system.
13 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the housing has a shape of an explosive device.
14 . The system of claim 12 , further including a smoke producing system that is synchronized with the sound system.
15 . The system of claim 13 , further including an odor producing system inside the housing.
16 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the odor producing system is synchronized with the smoke producing system.
17 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the trigger system includes a pressure trigger.
18 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the trigger system includes an electronic trigger.
19 . The system of claim 18 , wherein the trigger system has a delay between receiving a trip signal from the electronic trigger and transmitting the trigger signal.
20 . The system of claim 18 , wherein the light producing system strobes at a predetermined rate upon receiving the trigger signal.
21 . The device of claim 12 , further including a safety system inside the housing.
22 . The device of claim 21 , wherein the safety system senses a capacitance.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
