Abstract
An apparatus in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises a comb having a spine and a plurality of teeth, the spine having a first end and a second end and a band coupled to a first clip at a first end of the band, the first clip for coupling to the first end of the spine, and a second end of the band coupled to the second end of the spine.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A hair apparatus, comprising:
a comb having a spine and a plurality of teeth, the spine having a first end and a second end; and a band coupled to a first clip at a first end of the band, the first clip for coupling to the first end of the spine, and a second end of the band coupled to the second end of the spine.
2 . The hair apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the spine has a first aperture in the first end.
3 . The hair apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the first clip comprises a U-shaped member for insertion into the first aperture.
4 . The hair apparatus of claim 3 , wherein the band is elastic.
5 . The hair apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the band is coupled at a second end to a second clip.
6 . The hair apparatus of claim 5 , wherein the spine has a second aperture at the second end of the spine.
7 . The hair apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the second clip has a U-shaped member for insertion into the second aperture.
8 . The hair retention apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising a first clip head attached to the first end of the band and a second clip head attached to the second end of the band.
9 . The hair apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the first clip is coupled to the first decorative element and the second clip is coupled to the second decorative element.
10 . The hair apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the band further comprises:
a first decorative element at the first end of the elastic band; and a second decorative element at the second end of the elastic band.
11 . The hair apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the band is hingedly coupled to the second end of the spine.
12 . The hair apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the spine comprises a protrusion and the first clip is an aperture in the band for coupling to the protrusion.
13 . The hair retention apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the first clip is welded to the first clip head and the second clip is welded to the second clip head.
14 . The hair retention apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the first clip head and the second clip head further comprise a third and fourth clip, respectively, for retaining the elastic band.
15 . A hair retention apparatus, comprising:
a comb comprising a plurality of teeth integrally formed with a spine; an elastic band fixedly coupled to a first end of the spine at a first end of the elastic band, the elastic band comprising at least one clip at a second end of the elastic band releasably coupled to a second end of the spine such that a user's hair is retained between the spine and the elastic band when the teeth are inserted into the user's hair.
16 . The hair retention apparatus of claim 15 , wherein the elastic band comprises a first clip head at the first end of the elastic band and a second clip head at the second end of the elastic band.
17 . The hair retention apparatus of claim 15 , wherein the spine comprises a projection protruding from the second end of the spine and the second clip head comprises an aperture for receiving the projection so that the second clip head is retained by the spine.
18 . The hair retention apparatus of claim 15 , wherein the first clip head comprises a first U-shaped clip.
19 . The hair retention apparatus of claim 15 , further comprising a first opening in the first end of the spine having an indentation.
20 . The hair retention apparatus of claim 19 , wherein the first U-shaped clip comprises a protrusion such that when the first U-shaped clip is inserted into the first opening, the protrusion fits within the indentation so that the first clip head is retained by the spine.
21 . The hair retention apparatus of claim 20 , wherein the second clip head comprises a second U-shaped clip.
22 . The hair retention apparatus of claim 21 , further comprising a second opening in the second end of the spine, wherein the second U-shaped clip fits within the second opening and the second clip head is retained by the spine by the elasticity of the elastic band.
23 . The hair retention apparatus of claim 15 , wherein the elastic band further comprises
a first decorative element at the first end of the elastic band; and a second decorative element at the second end of the elastic band.
24 . A hair retention method, comprising:
lifting a portion of a user's hair in an upward twist arrangement; inserting a comb behind the upward twist arrangement, the comb having a plurality of teeth and a spine; attaching a first end of an elastic band to a first end of the spine; attaching a second end of the elastic band to a second end of the spine; and dropping the portion of the user's hair over the spine.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
