Abstract
A safety device for a curtain assembly includes multiple connection members fixedly connected to the curtain and located close to the lower end of the curtain. Each connection member includes a connection portion and a plate and the connection portion is fixed to the curtain and the plate includes an engaging recess. Multiple engaging members are connected to the cables of the curtain assembly respectively and each engaging member includes an engaging portion to which the second end of each cable is connected. The engaging portion is disengageably engaged with the engaging recess of the plate corresponding thereto such that when the cables are pulled by a certain level of force, the engaging portion is separated from the engaging recess.

a top box and a curtain having a first end connected with the top box, multiple folding lines defined transversely to the curtain and multiple rods connected to the curtain along the folding lines, each folding line including multiple rings connected thereto, multiple cables each having a first end connected to the top box and a second end of each cable extending through the rings; multiple connection members fixedly connected to the curtain and located close to a second end of the curtain, each connection member including a connection portion and a plate which is connected to the connection portion, the connection portion fixed to the curtain and the plate including an engaging recess, and multiple engaging members connected to second ends of the cables respectively and each engaging member including a top plate and an engaging portion which is connected to an underside of the top plate, the second end of each cable extending through a through hole defined through the top plate and connected to the engaging portion corresponding thereto, the engaging portion disengageably engaged with the engaging recess of the plate corresponding thereto.
2 . The curtain assembly as claimed in claim 1 , wherein each engaging portion includes a passage defined therethrough which includes an enlarged opening, the passage communicates with the through hole of the top plate, the second end of the cable has a knot engaged with the enlarged opening.
3 . The curtain assembly as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the connection members are made of plastic.
4 . The curtain assembly as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the connection members are made of metal.
5 . The curtain assembly as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the engaging members are made of plastic.
