Abstract
New crystalline forms of 4-[4-(2-adamantylcarbamoyl)-5-tert-butyl-pyrazol-1-yl]benzoic acid; their use in the inhibition of 11βHSD1, processes for making them and pharmaceutical compositions comprising them are also described.

39 . A crystalline form of 4-[4-(2-adamantylcarbamoyl)-5-tert-butyl-pyrazol-1-yl]benzoic acid having an X-ray diffraction pattern with peaks at the following 2-theta values measured using CuKa radiation: 16.2 and 20.6°.
40 . A crystalline compound as claimed in claim 39 having an X-ray powder diffraction pattern with peaks at the following 2-theta values measured using CuKa radiation: 16.2, 20.6 and 17.7°.
41 . A crystalline form of a compound as claimed in claim 39 having an X-ray powder diffraction pattern with peaks at the following 2-theta values measured using CuKa radiation: 16.2, 20.6, 17.7, 10.8 and 15.5°.
42 . A crystalline form of a compound as claimed in claim 39 having an X-ray powder diffraction pattern with peaks at the following 2-theta values measured using CuKa radiation: 16.2, 20.6, 17.7, 10.8, 15.5, 20.9, 26.1, 11.6 and 26.7°.
43 . A crystalline compound as claimed in claim 39 having an X-ray diffraction pattern, using CuKa radiation, substantially the same as shown in FIG. 6 .
44 . A pharmaceutical composition, which comprises a compound according to any one of claim 39 in association with a pharmaceutically-acceptable diluent or carrier.
45 . A method of producing a 11βHSD1 inhibitory effect by administering an effective amount of a compound according to claim 39 to a mammal in need of such treatment.
