Abstract

This invention herein disclosed relates to the anti-HIV action of uPAR-activators or activated uPAR molecules, the control of chemotaxis and cell migration by agents interfering with uPAR activation, a method for determining activated uPAR forms, the use of agents interfering with uPA/uPAR interaction for the diagnosis or therapy of diseases.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . Antibodies against the FPRL1/LXA4-receptor for the manufacture of a medicament for diagnosing and/or treating inflammatory conditions and/or cancer.

2 . A method comprising diagnosing and/or treating inflammatory conditions and/or cancer by administering a composition comprising the antibodies according to claim 1 .

3 . The method according to claim 2 , wherein the antibody is raised against peptide ASWGGTPEERLK [SEQ ID NO:4] in the third extracellular domain of FPRL1/LXA4R.

4 . The method according to claim 2 , for the treatment of septic shock, rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn's disease, chronic arthritis, cancer and/or cancer invasion.

5 . A method for the determination of activated uPAR from tissue extracts, biological fluids, which comprises:
 a) preparing a sample of tissue, tissue extract, biological fluids; b) contacting the sample with the antibody of claim 1 ; c) determining the specific binding of the antibody.

6 . A method according to claim 5 , which is in the form of ELISA.

7 . A method according to claim 6 , for the ex-vivo diagnosis and/or prognosis of pathologies involving uPAR activation.

8 . A method according to claim 7 , for the diagnosis and/or prognosis of cancer and/or inflammatory diseases.

9 . A method for the determination of activated uPAR from tissue, tissue extracts, biological fluids, for the diagnosis of HIV infection, which comprises:
 a) preparing a sample of tissue, tissue-extracts, biological fluids; b) contacting that sample with an antibody against AVTYSRSRYLEC [SEQ ID NO:1] peptide; c) determining the specific binding of the antibody.
