Abstract
A foldable chair frame includes a seat, a backrest, left and right armrests, left and right pivot joints, and front and rear legs. The backrest is coupled pivotably to the seat. Each of the left and right armrests is coupled pivotably to the backrest. Each of the left and right pivot joints is coupled to a respective one of the left and right armrests and has front and rear pivot portions. The front leg is coupled pivotably to the front pivot portions of the left and right pivot joints. The rear leg is coupled pivotably to the rear pivot portions of the left and right pivot joints.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A foldable chair frame, comprising:
a seat; a backrest coupled pivotably to said seat; left and right armrests, each of which is coupled pivotably to said backrest; left and right pivot joints, each of which is coupled to a respective one of said left and right armrests and has front and rear pivot portions; a front leg including left and right rod members, each of which has an upper end coupled pivotably to said front pivot portion of a respective one of said left and right pivot joints; and a rear leg including left and right rod members, each of which has an upper end coupled pivotably to said rear pivot portion of a respective one of said left and right pivot joints.
2 . The foldable chair frame as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising a left link unit including a link member that has opposite first and second ends, each of which is coupled pivotably to a respective one of said left rod member of said front leg and said seat.
3 . The foldable chair frame as claimed in claim 2 , wherein said left link unit further includes a second link member that has opposite first and second ends, each of which is coupled pivotably to a respective one of said seat and said left rod member of said rear leg.
4 . The foldable chair frame as claimed in claim 3 further comprising a pivot pin that extends through said first end of said second link member of said left link unit, said second end of said link member of said left link unit, and said seat.
5 . The foldable chair frame as claimed in claim 2 , wherein said left link unit further includes a limiting member that extends from said second end of said link member and that is disposed behind said left rod member of said rear leg.
6 . The foldable chair frame as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising a right link unit including a link member that has opposite first and second ends, each of which is coupled pivotably to a respective one of said right rod member of said front leg and said seat.
7 . The foldable chair frame as claimed in claim 6 , wherein said right link unit further includes a second link member that has opposite first and second ends, each of which is coupled pivotably to a respective one of said seat and said right rod member of said rear leg.
8 . The foldable chair frame as claimed in claim 7 , further comprising a pivot pin that extends through said first end of said second link member of said right link unit, said second end of said link member of said right link unit, and said seat.
9 . The foldable chair frame as claimed in claim 6 , wherein said right link unit further includes a limiting member that extends from said second end of said link member and that is disposed behind said right rod member of said rear leg.
10 . The foldable chair frame as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said left armrest includes
an elongated rod that has front and rear ends, said rear end of said elongated rod being coupled pivotably to said backrest, a tubular member sleeved movably on said elongated rod and disposed between said front and rear ends of said elongated rod, said left pivot joint being coupled to said tubular member, a resilient member sleeved movably on said elongated rod and disposed between said front end of said elongated rod and said tubular member, and an abutting member provided on said front end of elongated rod.
11 . The foldable chair frame as claimed in claim 10 , wherein said left armrest further includes a cover member for covering said tubular member and said resilient member.
12 . The foldable chair frame as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said right armrest includes
an elongated rod that has front and rear ends, said rear end of said elongated rod being coupled pivotably to said backrest, a tubular member sleeved movably on said elongated rod and disposed between said front and rear ends of said elongated rod, said right pivot joint being coupled to said tubular member, a resilient member sleeved movably on said elongated rod and disposed between said front end of said elongated rod and said tubular member, and an abutting member provided on said front end of elongated rod.
13 . The foldable chair frame as claimed in claim 12 , wherein said right armrest further includes a cover member for covering said tubular member and said resilient member.
14 . The foldable chair frame as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising a footrest coupled pivotably to said left and right armrests and said seat.
15 . The foldable chair frame as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said left pivot joint includes left and right plates that cooperatively define said front and rear pivot portions thereof, said upper ends of said left rod members of said front and rear legs being disposed between said left and right plates of said left pivot joint.
16 . The foldable chair frame as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said right pivot joint includes left and right plates that cooperatively define said front and rear pivot portions thereof, said upper ends of said right rod members of said front and rear legs being disposed between said left and right plates of said right pivot joint.
17 . The foldable chair frame as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said front pivot portion of said left pivot joint and said left armrest define a first distance therebetween, and said rear pivot portion of said left pivot joint and said left armrest define a second distance therebetween smaller than the first distance.
18 . The foldable chair frame as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said front pivot portion of said right pivot joint and said right armrest define a first distance therebetween, and said rear pivot portion of said right pivot joint and said right armrest define a second distance therebetween smaller than the first distance.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
