Claims

Abstract

A diagnostic device comprising a sample inlet and a processing chamber having a window portion and a flat carrier having front surface, a back surface and one or more side surfaces, said front surface facing said processing chamber, said front surface having an active surface containing a diagnostic reagent immobilized to said active front surface and an extended front surface, wherein said window portion further contains a rim portion facing said extended front surface sealing said chamber versus said carrier through said extended front surface.

1 . An article of manufacture made from a single material and having a substantially flat structure for locking a flat carrier to an analytical device comprising:
 a substantially rectangular frame, and   two or more clips spanning the corners of the rectangle being more flexible than the frame.   
     
     
         2 . The article of  claim 1  wherein the clip is a brace bridging a corner by connecting two adjacent sides of the rectangle. 
     
     
         3 . The article of  claim 1 , wherein there is a gap between each clip and the corner it spans. 
     
     
         4 . The article of  claim 1 , further comprising positioning means. 
     
     
         5 . The article of  claim 1 , further comprising a window formed by said frame and the clips which is larger than 99% of the surface of the flat carrier.
