Abstract

A network intelligence system may include a plurality of sensors located throughout and industry system. The sensors may obtain data related to various aspects of the industry network. The network intelligence system may include system endpoint intelligence and system infrastructure intelligence. The system endpoint and system infrastructure intelligence may provide distributed intelligence allowing localized decision-making to be made within the industry system based in response to system operation and occurrences. The network intelligence may include a centralized intelligence portion to communicate with endpoint and infrastructure intelligence. The centralized intelligence portion may provide responses on a localized level of the system or on a system-wide level.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An integration framework for facilitating communication with a central authority that manages an industry network, the integration framework comprising:
a first portion of a bus for communicating operational data to the central authority, the operational data comprising a real-time measurement for at least a part of the industry network; and a second portion of a bus for communicating event data to the central authority, the second portion being separate from the first portion, the event data being distinct from and derived from the real-time measurement and comprising at least one analytical determination based on the at least one real time measurement, wherein the operational data is communicated via the first portion and not communicated via the second portion, and wherein the event data is communicated via the second portion and not communicated via the first portion.

2 . The integration framework of claim 1 , wherein the industry network comprises a vehicle travel network.

3 . The integration framework of claim 2 , wherein the vehicle travel network comprises a rail travel network.

4 . The integration framework of claim 1 , wherein the first portion of the bus comprises a first segment and the second portion of the bus comprises a second segment, the first and second segments being different segments on the same bus.

5 . The integration framework of claim 4 , further comprising at least one switch for analyzing at least a part of data received and for routing the data to one of the first segment and the second segment.

6 . The integration framework of claim 4 , wherein the first portion of the bus comprises a first dedicated segment dedicated exclusively to communicating the operational data; and
wherein the second portion of the bus comprises a second dedicated segment dedicated exclusively to communicating the event data.

7 . The integration framework of claim 3 , wherein the first portion of the bus comprises a first bus and the second portion of the bus comprises a second bus, and
wherein the first bus is physically separate from the second bus.

8 . The integration framework of claim 7 , further comprising a router for analyzing at least a part of data received and for routing the data to one of the first bus and the second bus.

9 . The integration framework of claim 8 , wherein the router analyzes at least one header in the data to determine whether to route the data to the first bus or to the second bus.

10 . A data management system for an industry network and a central authority for managing the network, the utility network comprising a plurality of devices within the industry network, the data management system comprising:
data storage associated with a device positioned in a section of the network, the data storage being proximate to the device, the device sensing a parameter in the section of the industry network, the data storage comprising a plurality of memory locations for storing the sensed parameter; and a central data storage associated with the central authority, wherein the central data storage comprises links to the memory locations in the data storage.

11 . The data management system of claim 10 , wherein the industry network comprises a vehicle travel network.

12 . The data management system of claim 11 , wherein the vehicle travel network comprises a rail travel network.

13 . An intelligent network for an industry system, the intelligent network comprising:
at least one system endpoint comprising: a plurality of sensors configured to detect at least one aspect regarding the industry system and generate endpoint data indicative of the at least one aspect; and at least one endpoint analysis module configured to receive the endpoint data and generate a response based on the endpoint data; a system infrastructure comprising: a plurality of sensors configured to detect at least one aspect regarding infrastructure of the industry system and generate infrastructure data indicative of the at least one aspect; and at least one infrastructure analysis module configured to receive the endpoint data and generate a response based on the endpoint data one or more data buses; and a network core configured to receive the endpoint data and the infrastructure data through at least one or more of the data buses and generate a response based on at least one of the endpoint data and the infrastructure data.
