Claims

Abstract

The soft boot and liner include a moisture transfer system that includes an inner fabric layer carefully selected from technically advanced fabrics. A series of layers are provided outside the inner liner including foam material layers, spacer fabrics and breathable membranes, in various orders. Encapsulation technology and waterproofing are used as well. The outer fabric layer is also capable of working with the other layers to promote the transfer of moisture. Frothed foams and flocking with fibers are further characteristics of the present invention. The moisture transfer system is incorporated into a soft boot or skate or as a removable liner for a shell boot. Numerous other modifications and applications are disclosed.

1 . A removable, soft shell alpine or snowboard composite liner or hiking boot composite product comprised of a series of composite layers:
 a first layer of an absorbent, breathable, moisture transferring inner lining spacer fabric or material;   a second layer of a breathable, moisture transferring, and absorbent open-cell, anti-microbial foam material;   a third layer, mechanically bonded to the second layer, of an absorbent, breathable, moisture transferring nonwoven composite including synthetic, shaped, grooved, channeled, stretchable fibers and silver fibers; and   a fourth layer of a water resistant, breathable, exterior soft shell synthetic fabric or material.   
     
     
         2 . A removable, soft shell alpine or snowboard composite liner or hiking boot composite product according to  claim 1 , wherein the third layer includes thermal regulating wool fibers. 
     
     
         3 . A removable, soft-shell alpine or snowboard composite liner or hiking boot composite product according to  claim 1 , wherein the first layer has a knit construction. 
     
     
         4 . A removable, soft-shell alpine or snowboard composite liner or hiking boot composite product according to  claim 1 , wherein the absorbent, breathable, moisture transferring inner lining spacer fabric or material is adjoined with a moisture transfer knitted spacer fabric or material. 
     
     
         5 . A removable, soft-shell alpine or snowboard composite liner or hiking boot composite product according to  claim 1 , wherein the first, second, third, and fourth layers are adhesively bonded. 
     
     
         6 . A removable, soft shell alpine or snowboard composite liner or hiking boot composite product according to  claim 1 , wherein at least one of the layers contains thermal regulated materials or nano-technology. 
     
     
         7 . A removable, soft shell alpine or snowboard composite liner or hiking boot composite product according to  claim 1 , wherein the first layer contains synthetic, shaped, grooved, channeled, stretchable fibers, wool fibers and silver fibers. 
     
     
         8 . A removable, soft shell alpine or snowboard composite liner or hiking boot composite product according to  claim 7 , wherein the first layer is coated by a dotted matrix or pattern containing thermal regulating material on a side facing the second layer. 
     
     
         9 . A removable, soft shell alpine or snowboard composite liner or hiking boot composite product according to  claim 7 , wherein in at least one layer has anti-microbial properties. 
     
     
         10 . A technical, moisture transfer, soft shell composite product having a series of breathable layers, comprising:
 a first layer of an inner, moisture transferring, breathable, absorbent spacer fabric or material;   a second layer of a nonwoven material coated with a dotted foam matrix containing thermal regulating material applied to the first layer; and   a third layer of a waterproof, breathable, stretchable, exterior soft-shell fabric.   
     
     
         11 . A technical, moisture transfer, soft shell composite product according to  claim 10 , wherein at least one of the layers has anti-microbial properties. 
     
     
         12 . A technical, moisture transfer, soft shell composite product according to  claim 10 , wherein the third layer is treated with nano-technology to be stain resistant and waterproof. 
     
     
         13 . A technical, moisture transfer, soft shell composite product according to  claim 10 , wherein the first, second and third layers are adhesively bonded. 
     
     
         14 . A technical, moisture transfer, soft-shell composite product according to  claim 10 , wherein the first layer contains shaped, hollow, channeled, grooved fibers and silver fibers. 
     
     
         15 . A technical, moisture transfer, soft-shell composite product according to  claim 14 , wherein the first layer contains stretchable elastomeric fibers and thermal regulating wool fibers. 
     
     
         16 . A technical, moisture transfer, soft-shell composite product according to  claim 10 , wherein the second layer contains thermal regulating wool fibers. 
     
     
         17 . A technical, moisture transfer, soft-shell composite product according to  claim 10 , wherein the first, second or third layer contains shaped, hollow, channeled, grooved synthetic fibers, silver fibers and stretchable elastomeric fibers and thermal regulating wool fibers. 
     
     
         18 . A technical, moisture transfer, soft-shell composite product according to  claim 10 , wherein the composite has anti-microbial properties. 
     
     
         19 . A technical, moisture transfer, soft-shell composite product according to  claim 16 , wherein the first layer contains shaped, hollow, channeled, grooved, silver and wool fibers, and stretchable, elastomeric fibers treated to have reversible enhanced thermal properties. 
     
     
         20 . A technical, moisture transfer, soft-shell composite product according to  claim 18 , wherein at least one of the first, second or third layers is partially or completely coated with a thermally regulating, moisture transferring nano technology.
