Fvii or fviia variants

Abstract

Variants of FVII or FVIIa comprising at least one amino acid modification in position 196, 237, or 341 relative to hFVII or hFVIIa. The variants exhibit an increased clotting activity, i.e. reduced clotting time, compared to rhFVIIa.

A nucleotide encoding a variant of Factor VII (FVII) or Factor Vila (FVIIa), wherein said variant comprises 1-15 amino acid modifications within human Factor VII (hFVII) or human Factor Vila (hFVIIa) comprising SEQ ID NO:2, wherein at least one amino acid modification comprises a substitution D196K in SEQ ID NO:2.
