Abstract
An emboss pattern, tissue product and method of manufacturing tissue product having improved bulk and softness with minimal roll ridging. The pattern combines a plurality of aligned signature bosses with a grouping of signature bosses offset from the machine direction in a clockwise manner and another grouping of signature bosses being offset in a counter-clockwise manner.

A method for processing a tissue web comprising: passing a tissue web through an embossing nip formed between a pattern roll and a resilient backing roll, said pattern roll having a surface with a plurality of embossing elements separated by smooth land areas, said spot embossing elements defining a plurality of signature emboss groupings, each grouping including a plurality of similarly aligned signature embosses, wherein one of said groupings diverging in the clockwise direction from the machine direction of said web by from about 5° to 45° , and another of said groupings diverging in the counter-clockwise direction from the machine direction of said web by from about 5° to 45° .
