Abstract
A method for installing a means capable of removably securing a pole, comprising installing a first support, installing a second support, inserting said pole into said first support, and thereafter, inserting said pole into said second support.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method of positioning a flag pole comprising the steps of:
locating a twist member with a central axis and a slot that is obliquely angled with respect to said central axis; introducing the flagpole to the twist member via the slot; and, aligning the flagpole with the central axis of the twist member.
2 . The method of claim 1 wherein the step of introducing the flag pole to the twist member via the slot comprises the steps of:
causing the flagpole to be at the oblique angle of the slot relative to the central axis; and,
passing a portion of the flagpole into the twist member while the flagpole is at the oblique angle relative to the central axis of the twist member.
3 . The method of claim 1 wherein the step of aligning the flagpole with the central axis of the twist member comprises the step of:
rotating the flagpole around a pivot point within the twist member and with respect to the central axis.
4 . The method of claim 1 further comprising the step of introducing the butt of the flagpole into a socket member.
5 . The method of claim 1 further comprising the step of installing the twist member on a vehicle.
6 . The method of claim 1 further comprising the step of adjusting the orientation of the central axis.
7 . The method of claim 5 further wherein the step of adjusting the orientation of the central axis is accomplished via manipulating a multi-positional mounting bracket to which the twist member is attached.
8 . The method of claim 6 further comprising the step of aligning a socket member with the central axis.
9 . The method of claim 7 further comprising the step of intruding the butt of the flag pole into the socket member.
10 . A method of lowering a raised flagpole comprising the steps of:
rotating the flagpole around a pivot point within a twist member having a slot until the flagpole and the slot are aligned; and, directing the flagpole through the slot.
11 . The method of claim 10 further comprising the step of disengaging the flagpole from a socket member.
12 . The method of claim 10 wherein alignment of the slot is oblique to a central axis of the twist member.
13 . The method of claim 12 wherein the step of directing the flagpoles through the slot comprises the step of:
moving the flagpole away from the twist member while the flagpole is at the oblique angle relative to the central axis of the twist member.
14 . A method positioning a flagpole comprising the steps of:
locating a twist member; obliquely introducing the flagpole to the twist member; and, aligning the flagpole with the twist member.
15 . The method of claim 14 wherein the step of introducing the flag pole to the twist member comprises the step of:
passing a portion of the flagpole into the twist member.
16 . The method of claim 14 wherein the step of aligning the flagpole with the twist member comprises the step of:
rotating the flagpole around a pivot point within the twist member.
17 . The method of claim 14 further comprising the step of introducing the butt of the flagpole into a socket member.
18 . The method of claim 17 further comprising the step of installing the twist member on a vehicle.
19 . The method of claim 18 further comprising the step of adjusting the orientation of the twist member.
20 . The method of claim 19 further wherein the step of adjusting the orientation of the central axis is accomplished via manipulating a multi-positional mounting bracket to which the twist member is attached.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
