Abstract
A device for securing a vehicle includes a frame member locatable over the upper portion of a tyre of a wheel of a vehicle and; a respective tie down attachable to each of opposite sides of the frame member. Each tie down includes an attachment member at its end remote from the frame member, whereby with the frame member located over a tyre, the wheel is able to be secured by engaging each attachment member with an anchor point below the frame member.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 12 . (canceled)
13 . A device for securing at least one wheel of a motorcycle vehicle to a surface, the device comprising
a frame member locatable over an upper portion of a tyre of the at least one wheel of the motorcycle, and a respective tie down attachable to each of opposite sides of the frame member, each tie down including an attachment member at ends of the tie down remote from the frame member so that when the frame member is located over the tyre, the at least one wheel is able to be secured to the surface by engaging each attachment member with an anchor point situated below the frame member, and the device, when securing the wheel, is arranged in such a way that a straight line connecting the attachment members is substantially parallel to a wheel axis thereby maintaining the motorcycle in a substantially upright position relative to the surface when the at least one wheel is secured to the surface, and said frame member at least partly including a flexible material.
14 . The device as claimed in claim 13 , wherein said frame member has a first portion and a second portion disposed relative to each other such that said frame member is substantially symmetrical with respect to a positioning of said first and second portions on said tyre when said device is located over or secured to said at least one wheel.
15 . The device as claimed in claim 14 , wherein each of said first and second portions is of U-shape configuration.
16 . The device as claimed in claim 15 , wherein each of said first and second portions includes an arcuate web conforming to a curvature of said tyre, and legs diverging from said arcuate webs, and said arcuate webs of said first and second portions are spaced apart to engage said tyre at circumferentially spaced locations.
17 . The device as claimed in claim 14 , wherein said first and second portions are interconnected with one another by a strap or a pair of straps, and said tie downs are attached to said strap or pair of straps.
18 . The device as claimed in claim 17 , wherein said first and second portions and said strap or pair of straps are made of flexible materials.
19 . The device as claimed in claim 17 , wherein said first and second portions or said strap or pair of straps are made of flexible materials.
20 . The device as claimed in claim 13 , wherein said tie downs are adjustable straps.
21 . The device as claimed in claim 13 , wherein said attachment members are hooks.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
