Abstract

A tool and tool holder assembly includes a tool and a tool holder. The tool has an enlarged portion and a neck portion adjacent to the enlarged portion. The tool holder includes a hollow sleeve. The sleeve has a receiving opening, two side openings, and two elastic arms extended from one end of each side opening. Each elastic arm has a pushing surface and a retaining surface. When the tool passes the receiving opening, the enlarged portion abuts against the pushing surface such that the elastic arm expands. When the neck portion abuts against the retaining surface, the at least one elastic arm retracts to firmly secure the tool.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A tool and tool holder assembly comprising:
a tool, the tool having an enlarged portion and a neck portion adjacent to the enlarged portion; and a tool holder detachably connected to the tool, the tool holder comprising a sleeve, the sleeve being hollow, the sleeve having a receiving opening defined in one end thereof for receiving the tool, the sleeve having at least one side opening defined in a lateral thereof and at least one elastic arm extended from one end of the at least one side opening, the at least one elastic arm having a pushing surface and a retaining surface formed therein; wherein when the tool passes the receiving opening, the enlarged portion abuts against the pushing surface such that the at least one elastic arm expands; when the neck portion abuts against the retaining surface, the at least one elastic arm retracts to firmly secure the tool.

2 . The tool and tool holder assembly as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the pushing surface and the retaining surface are convex cambered surfaces; the enlarged portion is formed in the shape of a convex camber; the neck portion is formed in the shape of a concave camber.

3 . The tool and tool holder assembly as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the at least one elastic arm has a free end for providing a resilient force.

4 . The tool and tool holder assembly as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the sleeve has a receiving end defined in one end thereof and adjacent to the receiving opening, the receiving end being flared outwardly.

5 . The tool and tool holder assembly as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the sleeve has a passing opening defined in one end thereof and opposite to the receiving opening for passing the tool.

6 . The tool and tool holder assembly as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the tool holder further comprises a hook pivotally connected to the sleeve, the hook having a hanging hole defined therein.
