Abstract

A multi-function navigation system for guiding a user to a destination and displaying information of scenic spots stored in an electronic book comprises an input module configured to receive instructions of the user; a position detection module; an electronic book databank configured to store the electronic book information of the scenic spots and a message to define coordinates of scenic spots; an electronic map databank; a scenic spot information obtaining module; a scenic spot guidance supplement module configured to provide a navigation-linking interface to the correlative scenic spots; a scenic spot guidance function initiating module configured to link and then set the coordinates of the scenic spot as the destination; a path selection module configured to receive the present position and the destination and to determine a guidance path to the destination; and a display module configured to display the electronic book, the navigation-linking interface, and the guidance path.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A multi-function navigation system for providing an electronic map to guide a user to a destination and displaying information of scenic spots stored in an electronic book, comprising:
an input module configured to receive instructions of the user; a position detection module configured to detect a present position of the user; an electronic book databank configured to store the electronic book information of the scenic spots and a message to define coordinates of scenic spots; an electronic map databank configured to store data of the electronic map; a scenic spot information obtaining module configured to obtain corresponding electronic book information according to control of the input module; a scenic spot guidance supplement module configured to provide a navigation-linking interface to the correlative scenic spots according to the electronic book information obtained by the scenic spot information obtaining module; a scenic spot guidance function initiating module configured to link and then set the coordinates of the scenic spot as the destination when the user operates the input module to choose the navigation-linking interface; a path selection module configured to receive the present position from the position detection module and the destination from the scenic spot guidance function initiating module, and to determine a guidance path to the destination; and a display module configured to display the electronic book, the navigation-linking interface, and the guidance path.

2 . The multi-function navigation system of claim 1 wherein the scenic spot guidance supplement module provides navigation-linking interfaces attached to the electronic book information of the scenic spots in the electronic book, and the navigation-linking interface and the electronic book information of the scenic spots are displayed together by the display module.

3 . The multi-function navigation system of claim 1 wherein the path selection module determines a start location, the destination and the guidance path according to spot navigation instructions of the scenic spot guidance function initiating module or the input module.

4 . The multi-function navigation system of claim 1 further comprises:
a guidance module configured to generate a corresponding image to be displayed through the display module after receiving the guidance path, the present position and the selected area of the electronic map from the path selection module.

5 . The multi-function navigation system of claim 1 wherein the position detection module is a global positioning system device.

6 . The multi-function navigation system of claim 1 wherein the electronic book databank comprises data fields of administrative regions, names of spots, coordinates, reference parameters, contents and figures for the scenic spots.

7 . The multi-function navigation system of claim 1 wherein the electronic map databank comprises data fields of administrative regions, names of spots, and coordinates.
