A method of packaging a product and corresponding package
Abstract
A method for wrapping a product in a sheet material wrapper employing a first sheet of plastically deformable sheet material (for example aluminium) and a second sheet of wrapping material (for example a plastic film) having springback. Once the product is placed on the first sheet, the second sheet is applied on the product providing in the second sheet a part wrapping the product and a part facing the first sheet. The first sheet and the part of said second sheet facing it are airtight-seal coupled so to form, by effect of the coupling, a plastically deformable composite sheet material against the product or to form an integral housing cup.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 25 . (canceled)
26 . A method of wrapping a product in a wrapper of sheet material, including the operations of:
providing a first sheet of plastically deformable material and a second sheet of wrapping material exhibiting springback, applying said first sheet and said second sheet onto said product forming in said second sheet a part wrapping said product and a part facing said first sheet, coupling said first sheet and the part of said second sheet facing it, so to form, through the coupling, a plastically deformable composite sheet material, and shaping said plastically deformable composite sheet material forming a wrapper for said product.
27 . A method according to claim 26 , including the operation of coupling said first sheet and the part of said second sheet facing it with an airtight sealing connection so to provide the wrapper formed by said first and second sheet with hermetic characteristics.
28 . A method according to claim 26 , including the operation of realising along the perimeter of the product a tacking connection between said first sheet and said second sheet applied on said product maintaining them facing each other, in view of coupling said first sheet and the part of said second sheet facing it.
29 . A method according to claim 28 , including the operations of:
applying said second sheet on said product with a shaping tool, realising said tacking connection, removing said shaping tool after having realised said tacking connection and coupling said first sheet and the part of said second sheet facing it.
30 . A method according to claim 28 , including the operation of realising said tacking connection as a discontinuous connection.
31 . A method according to claim 26 , including the operation of forming in said sheet a concave imprint to partially house said product.
32 . A method according to claim 26 , including the operation of choosing said second sheet with dimensions larger than those of said first sheet, so that said second sheet wraps the greater part of said product.
33 . A method according to claim 26 , including the operation of folding said plastically deformable composite sheet material against the product, so that said second sheet covers, at least in part, said first sheet.
34 . A method according to claim 26 , including the operation of inserting said product, wrapped in said first and said second sheets in a housing container preferably having a cuplike shape.
35 . A method according to claim 26 , including the operation of subjecting said composite sheet material to a shaping operation according to a general cuplike conformation.
36 . A method according to claim 26 , including the operation of providing, in at least one between said first and said second sheet, a layer of weldable material to realise the coupling between said first sheet and the part of said second sheet facing it.
37 . A package with a product wrapped in a sheet material wrapper, in which the wrapper includes a first sheet of plastically deformable wrapping material and a second sheet of wrapping material exhibiting springback; said second sheet having one part wrapping said product and one part facing said first sheet with said first sheet and the part of said second sheet facing it coupled together so to form, by effect of the coupling, a plastically deformable composite sheet material shaped to provide said wrapper for said product.
38 . A package according to claim 37 , in which said first sheet and the part of said second sheet facing it are airtight-seal coupled together, providing the wrapper with hermetic characteristics.
39 . A package according to claim 37 , including, a tacking connection along the perimeter of the product, between said first sheet and said second sheet.
40 . A package according to claim 37 , in which said first sheet ( 1 ) has a concave imprint ( 3 ) partially housing said product (P).
41 . A package according to claim 37 , in which said second sheet has dimensions larger with respect to said first sheet.
42 . A package according to claim 37 , in which said composite sheet material is folded against product, with said second sheet covering, at least in part, said first sheet.
43 . A package according to claim 37 , in which said product wrapped in said first and said second sheet is inserted in a housing container preferably having a cuplike shape.
44 . A package according to claim 37 , in which said composite sheet material is shaped according to a general cuplike conformation.
45 . A package according to claim 37 , in which at least one between said first and said second sheet has a layer of weldable material providing the coupling between said first sheet and the part of said second sheet facing it.
46 . A package according to claim 37 , in which said first sheet includes a plastically deformable metallic layer, such as, for example aluminium.
47 . A package according to claim 37 , in which said first sheet has characteristics of resistance to denting.
48 . A package according to claim 37 , in which said second sheet has a metalised surface.
49 . A package according to claim 37 , in which said first sheet and the part of said second sheet facing it are coupled through thermal welding.
50 . A package according to claim 37 , in which said first sheet and the part of said second sheet facing it are coupled through ultrasonic welding.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
