Abstract

A light-emitting device and an electronic device using the same are provided. The light-emitting device includes a light-guiding plate, a circuit board, at lease one light source unit and a reflective layer. The circuit board is disposed under the light-guiding plate. The reflective layer is disposed above the light-guiding plate. The light-guiding plate has at lease one hole. The light source unit is disposed on the circuit board and within the hole. The reflective layer is disposed above the hole. The light-emitting device is disposed on one side of a part, such as a keypad, of the electronic device for providing light to the keypad.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A light-emitting device, comprising:
 a light-guiding plate comprising at lease one hole; a circuit board disposed under the light-guiding plate; at lease one light source unit disposed on the circuit board and within the hole; and a reflective layer disposed on the light-guiding plate and above the hole.

         2 . The light-emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein when the light source unit is driven to emit a light, the light emitted from the light source unit is reflected by the reflective layer to enter the light-guiding plate and is diffused by the light-guiding plate.

         3 . The light-emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the light-guiding plate has at lease one side wall positioned inside the hole, the light-guiding plate has a top surface and a bottom surface, the side-wall connects the top surface and the bottom surface, the light emitted from the light source unit enters the light-guiding plate via the side-wall.

         4 . The light-emitting device according to claim 3 , wherein the side-wall inside the hole is substantially not perpendicular to the top surface or the bottom surface.

         5 . The light-emitting device according to claim 3 , wherein the side-wall inside the hole comprises a bevel.

         6 . The light-emitting device according to claim 3 , wherein the side-wall inside the hole comprises a curved surface.

         7 . The light-emitting device according to claim 3 , wherein the side-wall inside the hole has a plurality of connected V-cut grooves.

         8 . The light-emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the light-guiding plate comprises a plurality of holes, a plurality of light source units having the same number with the holes are disposed on the circuit board, the light source units are respectively disposed within the holes.

         9 . The light-emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the light source unit comprises at lease one light emitting diode (LED) package.

         10 . The light-emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the light source unit comprises at lease one LED chip.

         11 . An electronic device, comprising:
 a keypad; and   a light-emitting device, comprising:
 a light-guiding plate disposed on one side of the keypad, wherein the light-guiding plate comprises at lease one hole;
 a circuit board disposed under the light-guiding plate;
 at lease one light source unit disposed on the circuit board and within the hole; and
 a reflective layer disposed above the hole and between the keypad and the light-guiding plate.

         12 . The electronic device according to claim 11 , wherein when the light source unit is driven to emit a light, the light emitted from the light source unit is reflected by the reflective layer to enter the light-guiding plate and is diffused by the light-guiding plate.

         13 . The electronic device according to claim 11 , wherein the light-guiding plate has at lease one side wall positioned inside the hole of the circuit board, the light-guiding plate has a top surface and a bottom surface, the side-wall connects the top surface and the bottom surface, the light emitted from the light source unit enters the light-guiding plate via the side-wall.

         14 . The electronic device according to claim 13 , wherein the side-wall inside the hole is substantially not perpendicular to the top surface or the bottom surface.

         15 . The electronic device according to claim 13 , wherein the side-wall inside the hole comprises a bevel.

         16 . The electronic device according to claim 13 , wherein the side-wall inside the hole comprises a curved surface.

         17 . The electronic device according to claim 13 , wherein the side-wall inside the hole has a plurality of connected V-cut grooves.

         18 . The electronic device according to claim 11 , wherein the light-guiding plate comprises a plurality of holes, a plurality of light source units having the same number with the holes are disposed on the circuit board, the light source units are respectively disposed within the holes.

         19 . The electronic device according to claim 11 , wherein the light source unit comprises at lease one LED package.
