Garment hanger

Abstract

A garment hanger having two clamps respectively provided on two ends thereof, each clamp includes a first jaw and a second jaw adapted to closing to each other for clamping and holding an article; wherein the second jaw of the clamp has an engagement hole located on the inner surface with a locking protrusion lying alongside on the outer surface of the second jaw, and the first jaw has a barb-like member located on the inner surface, wherein the barb-like member projects toward the inner griping surface of the second jaw from the inner griping surface of the first jaw, and the barb-like member has a projection at the upper end thereof for sliding into the engagement hole and engaging with the locking protrusion to form a tight engagement between the first and second jaw when the clamp is closed.

1 . A garment hanger comprising:
 a main body;   a hook connected with an upper side of the main body for hanging garments in a suspended way;   two clamps provided respectively on two ends of the main body, each of the clamps includes a first jaw and a second jaw adapted to connected and closing to each other for clamping, each jaw has an inner griping surface arranged oppositely; and   a first engagement portion located on the inner griping surface of the first jaw, and a second engagement portion located on the inner surface of the second jaw arranged oppositely to the first engagement portion;   whereby, when an article is placed between the first and second jaws, the first engagement portion of the first jaw can be brought into engagement with the second engagement portion of the second jaw so as to secure the clamp, thereby clamping and holding the article.   
     
     
         2 . The garment hanger as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the second engagement portion is an engagement hole with a locking protrusion lying alongside on the outer surface of the second jaw, the first engagement portion is a barb-like member projecting toward the inner griping surface of the second jaw from the inner griping surface of the first jaw, and the barb-like member has a projection at the upper end thereof for sliding into the engagement hole and engaging with the locking protrusion to form a tight engagement between the first and second jaw when the clamp is closed. 
     
     
         3 . The garment hanger as claimed in  claim 2 , wherein each of the first and second jaw has a ridge oppositely disposed on the inner griping surface thereof for clamping and holding the article when the clamp is closed. 
     
     
         4 . The garment hanger as claimed in  claim 3 , wherein the ridge of each jaw has a step matingly shaped for the other at the upper end. 
     
     
         5 . The garment hanger as claimed in  claim 2 , wherein the projection of the barb-like member extends toward the lower part of the main body, and the locking protrusion of the second engagement portion is located on the lower edge of the engagement hole for engaging with the projection of the barb-like member. 
     
     
         6 . The garment hanger as claimed in  claim 5 , wherein the material of the clamps are substantially the same with the main body and integrally made by plastic injection molding. 
     
     
         7 . A garment hanger comprising:
 a main body;   a hook connected with an upper side of the main body for hanging garments in a suspended way; and   two clamps provided respectively on two ends of the main body, each of the clamps includes a first jaw and a second jaw adapted to connected and closing to each other for clamping, each of the first and second jaw has an inner griping surface arranged oppositely and a ridge oppositely disposed on the inner griping surface thereof for clamping and holding an article when the clamp is closed;   wherein the second jaw has an engagement hole located on the inner surface with a locking protrusion lying alongside on the outer surface of the second jaw, and the first jaw has a barb-like member located on the inner surface, the barb-like member projects toward the inner griping surface of the second jaw from the inner griping surface of the first jaw, and the barb-like member has a projection at the upper end thereof for sliding into the engagement hole and engaging with the locking protrusion to form a tight engagement between the first and second jaw when the clamp is closed.   
     
     
         8 . The garment hanger as claimed in  claim 7 , wherein the ridge of each jaw has a step matingly shaped for the other at the upper end. 
     
     
         9 . The garment hanger as claimed in  claim 8 , wherein each ridge of the first and second jaw is disposed at the free end thereof. 
     
     
         10 . The garment hanger as claimed in  claim 7 , wherein the material of the clamps are substantially the same with the main body and integrally made by plastic injection molding.
