Vehicle roof with high inherent stiffness
Abstract
The invention relates to a vehicle roof which comprises an opening, a foldable arrangement ( 3 ) and a device for accommodating said foldable arrangement ( 3 ), the foldable arrangement ( 3 ) comprising at least two parallel plastic segments ( 1 ). The foldable arrangement ( 3 ) can be transferred to a corresponding device ( 4 ) while being folded, thereby at least partly releasing the opening, and the foldable arrangement ( 3 ) completely closes the opening in the closed position. The segments ( 1 ), when in the closed position, are curved due to deformation and are substantially flat and plane-parallel when at least partly releasing the opening.

11 . A vehicle roof having an opening, a folding arrangement and a device for receiving the latter, wherein said folding arrangement has at least two slats made of plastic which are arranged parallel to one another, and the folding arrangement can be brought, while being folded, into a device which is provided for it, in order to at least partially unblock the opening, and wherein said folding arrangement closes the opening completely when in the closing position and wherein the slats are curved as a result of bracing when they are in the position in which they close the opening, and are oriented in a substantially flat and plane-parallel manner when they are at least partially unblocking said opening.
12 . The vehicle roof according to claim 1 , wherein, in the position in which they close the opening, the slats have a curvature with a radius of 1.5 to 4 m.
13 . The vehicle roof according to claim 1 , wherein, when they are at least partially unblocking the opening, the slats have a curvature with a radius between infinite and 4 m.
14 . The vehicle roof according to claim 1 , wherein, in the position in which they close the opening, the slats are curved in substantially a double manner.
15 . The vehicle roof according to claim 1 , wherein the slats are connected in a material-bonded and/or form-locking manner by elastomer over the predominant part of their longitudinal sides.

The vehicle roof according to claim 1 , wherein the vehicle roof has two guide rails which converge in the longitudinal axis of the vehicle and diverge, in the region of the device for receiving the folding arrangement, in such a way that the slats are, to a very large extent, transferred into the original state again.
17 . The vehicle roof according to claim 3 , wherein the elastomer is a polyurethane, a thermoplastic polyurethane or silicone.
18 . The vehicle roof according to claim 1 , wherein the vehicle roof has 3, 4, 5 or 6 slats if said slats are oriented longitudinally in relation to the direction of travel, or 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 or 12 slats if said slats are oriented transversely to the direction of travel.
19 . The vehicle roof according to claim 1 , wherein the plastic is polycarbonate or PMMA.
