Abstract

Methods and systems for optimizing and audio communication system, including detecting a surrounding noise profile, determining one or more states of one or more noise-related conditions corresponding to the surrounding noise profile, and associating the one or more states of the one or more noise-related conditions to the surrounding noise profile.

1 . A method for optimizing an audio communication system, the method comprising:
 detecting a surrounding noise profile;   determining one or more states of one or more noise-related conditions corresponding to the surrounding noise profile; and   associating the one or more states of the one or more noise-related conditions to the surrounding noise profile.   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 determining audio communication system parameters corresponding to the surrounding noise profile; and   associating the audio communication system parameters to the one or more states of the one or more noise-related conditions.   
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 2 , further comprising storing the audio communication system parameters and the associated one or more states of the one or more noise-related conditions. 
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 3 , further comprising:
 detecting a sound to be transmitted, where the sound is mixed with a current surrounding noise profile;   determining one or more current states of the one or more noise-related conditions corresponding to the current surrounding noise profile;   determining stored states substantially equal to the current states; and   determining stored audio communication system parameters corresponding to the stored states.   
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 4 , further comprising:
 applying the stored audio communication system parameters as initial audio communication system parameters to suppress the current surrounding noise profile from the sound; and   transmitting the sound.   
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 5 , further comprising:
 determining improved audio communication system parameters;   applying the improved audio communication system parameters to suppress the surrounding noise profile; and   transmitting the sound.   
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 1 , where detecting the surrounding noise profile comprises detecting the surrounding noise profile inside a vehicle and where the one or more noise-related conditions are at least one of: GPS location, date and time, windows position, vehicle speed, type of propulsion system, convertible top, and radio volume. 
     
     
         8 . A system for optimizing an audio communication system, the system comprising:
 one or more processors;   one or more memory units coupled to the one or more processors;   one or more microphones coupled to the one or more processors and memory; and   one or more sensors coupled to the one or more processors and memory, the microphones being configured to detect a surrounding noise profile,   the sensors being configured to determine one or more states of one or more noise-related conditions corresponding to the surrounding noise profile; and   the system being configured to associate the one or more states of the one or more noise-related conditions to the surrounding noise profile.   
     
     
         9 . The system of  claim 8 , further comprising the system being configured to:
 determine audio communication system parameters corresponding to the surrounding noise profile; and   associate the audio communication system parameters to the one or more states of the one or more noise-related conditions.   
     
     
         10 . The system of  claim 9 , the one or more memory units being configured to store the audio communication system parameters and the associated one or more states of the one or more noise-related conditions. 
     
     
         11 . The system of  claim 10 , where,
 the microphones being configured to detect a sound to be transmitted, where the sound is mixed with a current surrounding noise profile;   the system being further configured to determine one or more current states of the one or more noise-related conditions corresponding to the current surrounding noise profile;   the system being further configured to determine stored states substantially equal to the current states; and   the system being further configured to determine stored audio communication system parameters corresponding to the stored states.   
     
     
         12 . The system of  claim 11 , further comprising:
 the system being configured to apply the stored audio communication system parameters as initial audio communication system parameters to suppress the current surrounding noise profile from the sound; and   a transmitter configured to transmit the sound.   
     
     
         13 . The system of  claim 12 , further comprising:
 determining improved audio communication system parameters;   applying the improved audio communication system parameters to suppress the surrounding noise profile; and   transmitting the sound.   
     
     
         14 . The system of  claim 8 , where detecting the surrounding noise profile comprises detecting the surrounding noise profile inside a vehicle and where the one or more noise-related conditions are at least one of: GPS location, date and time, windows position, vehicle speed, type of propulsion system, convertible top, and radio volume. 
     
     
         15 . The system of  claim 8 , further comprising a vehicle, the vehicle comprising the system for optimizing an audio communication system. 
     
     
         16 . A computer program product stored on a computer operable medium, the computer program product comprising software code being effective to optimize an audio communication system by being effective to:
 cause detection of a surrounding noise profile;   determine one or more states of one or more noise-related conditions corresponding to the surrounding noise profile; and   associate the one or more states of the one or more noise-related conditions to the surrounding noise profile.   
     
     
         17 . The product of  claim 16 , where the code is further effective to:
 determine audio communication system parameters corresponding to the surrounding noise profile; and   associate the audio communication system parameters to the one or more states of the one or more noise-related conditions.   
     
     
         18 . The product of  claim 17 , where the code is further effective to cause the storage of the audio communication system parameters and the associated one or more states of the one or more noise-related conditions. 
     
     
         19 . The product of  claim 18 , where the code is further effective to:
 cause the detection of a sound to be transmitted, where the sound is mixed with a current surrounding noise profile;   determine one or more current states of the one or more noise-related conditions corresponding to the current surrounding noise profile;   determine stored states substantially equal to the current states; and   determine stored audio communication system parameters corresponding to the stored states.   
     
     
         20 . The product of  claim 19 , where the code is further effective to:
 apply the stored audio communication system parameters as initial audio communication system parameters to suppress the current surrounding noise profile from the sound; and   cause a transmission of the sound.   
     
     
         21 . The product of  claim 20 , where the code is further effective to:
 determine improved audio communication system parameters;   apply the improved audio communication system parameters to suppress the surrounding noise profile; and   cause a transmission of the sound.
