Magnetic Wallpaper Systems

Abstract

A magnetic wallpaper system designed to easily install and remove wallpaper without damaging either the wallpaper or the surface of the wall. Such magnetic wallpaper may be printed for personally customized designs or images. Also such magnetic wallpaper may be printed to reflect a season, holiday, event, etc., and be easily changed according to the desired theme for a room. Further, the magnetic wallpaper system comprises a magnetic wallpaper communication system providing patterned wallpaper with non-patterned voids for writing notes and other indicia on a dry-erase surface of the magnetic wallpaper onto walls of a metallic locker.

1 ) A wall-covering system, relating to covering at least one portion of at least one wall comprising magnetically-attractive materials, said system comprising:
 a) at least one wall cover structured and arranged to substantially cover at least one portion of the at least one wall;   b) wherein said at least one wall cover comprises at least one flexible magnetic sheet to magnetically attach said wall cover to such at least one portion of the at least one wall;   c) wherein said at least one wall cover comprises at least one patterned sheet portion bonded to said at least one flexible magnetic sheet;   d) wherein said at least one patterned sheet portion comprises at least one pattern-void portion structured and arranged to receive and to display replaceable indicia;   e) wherein said at least one patterned sheet portion comprises at least one surface structured and arranged to assist such replaceable indicia marking; and   f) wherein said at least one flexible magnetic sheet comprises essentially the same area dimension as said at least one patterned sheet portion.   
     
     
         2 ) The wall-covering system according to  claim 1  wherein said at least one pattern-void portion is structured and arranged to receive and display written readable messages. 
     
     
         3 ) The wall-covering system according to  claim 2 , wherein said at least one wall cover further comprises printed photography. 
     
     
         4 ) The wall-covering system according to  claim 2 , wherein said at least one wall cover further comprises printed art. 
     
     
         5 ) The wall-covering system according to  claim 2 , wherein said at least one wall cover further comprises at least one portion of at least one serial theme. 
     
     
         6 ) The wall-covering system according to  claim 5 , wherein said at least one serial theme relates to at least one of the group consisting essentially of:
 a) at least one convention;   b) at least one holiday;   c) at least one season;   d) at least one celebration;   e) at least one event;   f) at least one honoring of at least one individual;   g) at least one honoring of at least one relationship;   h) at least one educational theme;   i) at least one advertisement.   
     
     
         7 ) The wall-covering system according to  claim 1  wherein:
 a) said at least one wall cover is structured and arranged to be of sufficient longitudinal dimension to be rolled into a roll; and 
 b) such rolled wall cover remains in such rolled state unassisted. 
 
     
     
         8 ) The wall-covering system according to  claim 7  wherein such sufficient longitudinal dimension is greater than about twelve inches. 
     
     
         9 ) The wall-covering system according to  claim 7  wherein such sufficient longitudinal dimension is about thirty-six inches. 
     
     
         10 ) The wall-covering system according to  claim 1  wherein at least one wall cover is structure and arranged to fit at least one interior wall of at least one metallic locker. 
     
     
         11 ) The wall-covering system according to  claim 1  wherein at least one wall cover comprises:
 a) about twelve inches in width; and 
 b) about thirty-six inches in length. 
 
     
     
         12 ) A wall-covering system, relating to covering at least one substantial portion of at least one wall, said system comprising:
 a) at least one flexible-material wall-covering strip structured and arranged to cover the at least one substantial portion of the at least one wall; and   b) at least one releasable attacher structured and arranged to attach said at least one flexible-material wall-covering strip to the at least one substantial portion of the at least one wall while said at least one flexible-material wall-covering strip and the at least one substantial portion of the at least one wall are immediately adjacent;   c) wherein said releasable attachment system is structured and arranged to permit non-destructive removal of said at least one flexible-material wall-covering strip from the at least one substantial portion of the at least one wall.   
     
     
         13 ) The wall-covering system according to  claim 12  wherein said at least one releasable attacher comprises at least one magnetic field structured and arranged to magnetically attach said at least one flexible-material wall-covering strip to the at least one substantial portion of the at least one wall. 
     
     
         14 ) The wall-covering system according to  claim 12 , wherein said at least one flexible-material wall-covering strip is structured and arranged to be re-used after removal from the at least one substantial portion of the at least one wall. 
     
     
         15 ) The wall-covering system according to  claim 12 , wherein said at least one flexible-material wall-covering strip comprises at least one printable surface. 
     
     
         16 ) The wall-covering system according to  claim 15  wherein said at least one printable surface is structured and arranged to accept writing. 
     
     
         17 ) The wall-covering system according to  claim 16  wherein said at least one flexible-material wall-covering strip further comprises at least one writeable surface structured and arranged to accept writing. 
     
     
         18 ) The wall-covering system according to  claim 17  wherein said at least one writable surface is structured and arranged to permit erasing of such writing. 
     
     
         19 ) The wall-covering system according to  claim 15 , wherein said at least one printable surface comprises printed photography. 
     
     
         20 ) The wall-covering system according to  claim 15 , wherein said at least one printable surface comprises printed art. 
     
     
         21 ) The wall-covering system according to  claim 15 , wherein said at least one printable surface comprises at least one portion of at least one serial theme. 
     
     
         22 ) The wall-covering system according to  claim 21 , wherein said at least one serial theme relates to at least one of the group consisting essentially of:
 a) at least one convention;   b) at least one holiday;   c) at least one season;   d) at least one celebration;   e) at least one event;   f) at least one honoring of at least one individual;   g) at least one honoring of at least one relationship;   h) at least one educational theme;   i) at least one advertisement.   
     
     
         23 ) The system according to  claim 12 , wherein said at least one flexible-material wall-covering strip comprises at least one sheet magnet layer of less than about 20 mil. 
     
     
         24 ) The system according to  claim 23 , wherein said at least one flexible-material wall-covering strip comprises at least one sheet magnet layer of less than about 15 mil in thickness. 
     
     
         25 ) A wall-covering system, relating to covering at least one portion of at least one wall, said system comprising:
 a) at least one wall cover structured and arranged to cover the at least one portion of the at least one wall;   b) wherein said at least one wall cover comprises at least one attacher structured and arranged to attach said wall cover to the at least one portion of the at least one wall;   c) wherein said attacher comprises at least one releaser to release said wall cover from the at least one portion of the at least one wall; and   d) wherein said attacher is substantially retained even after said wall cover is released from the at least one portion of the at least one wall.
