Water Absorbing and Retention Bag

Abstract

An improved water absorbing and retention bag has opposing bands about an outer bag. An inner bag has a supply of super absorbent polymer retained therein. The bands can provide loops from opposing ends of the bag while encircling the bag.

1 . A water absorbing and retaining bag comprising:
 a) an inner bag;   b) an outer bag surrounding the inner bag;   c) first and second bands completely encircling the outer bag and connected securely thereto, said bands located near opposing ends of the outer bag;   d) a supply of super absorbent polymer in the inner bag; wherein the bag has a dry configuration and a wetted configuration.   
   
   
       2 . The water absorbing and retaining bag of  claim 1  wherein the first band further comprises a first loop extending from a first side of the outer bag. 
   
   
       3 . The water absorbing and retaining bag of  claim 2  wherein the first band further comprises a second loop extending from a second side of the outer bag opposite the first side. 
   
   
       4 . The water absorbing and retaining bag of  claim 3  wherein the second band further comprises a first loop extending from the first side of the outer bag. 
   
   
       5 . The water absorbing and retaining bag of  claim 4  wherein the second band further comprises a second loop extending from the second side of the outer bag. 
   
   
       6 . The water absorbing and retaining bag of  claim 1  wherein the first band is stitched to secure the outer bag in a closed configuration about the inner bag as well connected to the inner bag with the first band encircling a portion of the inner bag. 
   
   
       7 . The water absorbing and retaining bag of  claim 6  wherein the inner bag terminates in the inner bag prior to reaching the second band. 
   
   
       8 . The water absorbing and retaining bag of  claim 1  wherein the super absorbent polymer has a molecular weight greater than 1. 
   
   
       9 . The water absorbing and retaining bag of  claim 1  wherein the bag can be cycled through the wetted condition more than once. 
   
   
       10 . The water absorbing and retaining bag of  claim 1  wherein the inner bag is a China twill fabric. 
   
   
       11 . The water absorbing and retaining bag of  claim 10  wherein the outer bag is a jute fabric. 
   
   
       12 . The water absorbing and retaining bag of  claim 1  wherein the super absorbent polymer has an absorbency factor of 1/500. 
   
   
       13 . A water absorbing and retaining bag comprising:
 a) an inner bag;   b) an outer bag surrounding the inner bag;   c) a first band completely encircling the outer bag and connected securely thereto, said first band located near a first end of the outer bag;   d) a supply of super absorbent polymer in the inner bag; wherein the bag has a dry configuration and a wetted configuration.   
   
   
       14 . The water absorbing and retaining bag of  claim 13  wherein the first band further comprises a first loop extending from a first side of the outer bag. 
   
   
       15 . The water absorbing and retaining bag of  claim 14  wherein the first band further comprises a second loop extending from a second side of the outer bag opposite the first side. 
   
   
       16 . The water absorbing and retaining bag of  claim 15  further comprising a second band located near a second end of the outer bag opposite the first end and encircling the outer bag, and wherein the second band further comprises a first loop extending from the first side of the outer bag. 
   
   
       17 . The water absorbing and retaining bag of  claim 16  wherein the second band further comprises a second loop extending from the second side of the outer bag. 
   
   
       18 . The water absorbing and retaining bag of  claim 13  further comprising a second band encircling the outer bag and securely locking the inner bag to the outer bag at the second band. 
   
   
       19 . The water absorbing and retaining bag of  claim 18  wherein the inner bag terminates in the inner bag prior to reaching the first band. 
   
   
       20 . The water absorbing and retaining bag of  claim 13  wherein the inner bag is a first material, the outer bag is a second material different from the first material and the water absorbing and retention bag has an air permeability of at least 28.
