Abstract

“The Wheel Desk” is a removable, portable desk/table that attaches to the steering wheel of a motor vehicle. It is comprised of a flexible rubber, elastic and/or stretch fabric steering-wheel-cover base. This can be manufactured in varying circumferences to accommodate different steering wheel sizes. The center of “The Wheel Desk” contains a permanently attached flat, rigid surface, which can be made of wood, MDF, plastic or any durable, nonporous material. It may also have indentations or cutouts designed to hold cups, writing utensils, etc. When attached to the steering wheel, the flat center of the Wheel Desk lies on top of the steering wheel, with the flexible cover snugly gripping the sides (perimeter) of the steering wheel. “The Wheel Desk” can be used in the same manner as any other table-like surface. While “The Wheel Desk” is attached to the steering wheel, the vehicle should not be in motion.
