Abstract

Assemblies and valances for a window treatment are provided. The window treatment includes one or more panels of fabric, each panel including a rod pocket and a hanging portion extending from the rod pocket. The rod pocket defines a channel that extends between two openings for receiving a portion of the curtain rod. A portion of the panel of fabric defines a flange of the window treatment that is designed to extend along a support bracket such that, when in a hanging configuration, the support bracket is substantially covered by the flange. In this way, the flanges are designed to make the support brackets less visible to observers and thus make the window treatment more pleasing to view without the use of additional hardware.
