Abstract

A container system is disclosed, where the container system includes a housing. A chromatography cartridge is disposed in the housing. A structural support in the housing is configured to retain the chromatography cartridge within the housing. The housing is configured to withstand a certain amount of pressure generated inside the chromatography cartridge. The chromatography cartridge is disposed in the housing either in horizontal or in vertical position.

1 . A container system comprising:
 a housing:   a chromatography cartridge disposed in the housing;   a structural support in the housing configured to retain the chromatography cartridge within the housing; and   the housing is configured to withstand a certain amount of pressure generated inside the chromatography cartridge.   
     
     
         2 . The container system of  claim 1 , wherein the structural support is a plurality of ribs located in the housing configured to retain the chromatography cartridge. 
     
     
         3 . The container system of  claim 1 , wherein the housing is made of a metal. 
     
     
         4 . The container system of  claim 3 , wherein the metal housing is configured to withstand a certain amount of pressure from the chromatography cartridge. 
     
     
         5 . The container system of  claim 1 , wherein the chromatography cartridge is disposed vertically in the housing. 
     
     
         6 . The container system of  claim 1 , further comprising chromatography media included in the chromatography cartridge. 
     
     
         7 . The container system of  claim 6 , wherein process liquids flow from a top portion of the chromatography cartridge to a bottom portion of the chromatograph cartridge. 
     
     
         8 . The container system of  claim 1 , wherein the chromatography cartridge is a pre-packed disposable cartridge. 
     
     
         9 . The container system of  claim 1 , wherein the amount of pressure is less than 3 bar. 
     
     
         10 . The container system of  claim 1 , wherein the housing is made of plastic. 
     
     
         11 . A container system comprising:
 a housing:   a chromatography cartridge disposed horizontally in the housing;   a structural support in the housing configured to retain the chromatography cartridge within the housing; and   the housing is configured to withstand a certain amount of pressure generated inside the chromatography cartridge.   
     
     
         12 . The container system of  claim 11 , wherein the chromatography cartridge includes a first mobile phase port and a second mobile phase port. 
     
     
         13 . The container system of  claim 11 , further comprising a chromatography media in the chromatography cartridge. 
     
     
         14 . The container system of  claim 13 , wherein the first mobile phase port is configured to receive process liquids. 
     
     
         15 . The container system of  claim 14 , wherein the second mobile phase port is configured to release process liquids. 
     
     
         16 . A method for assembling a chromatography structure, comprising:
 providing a housing, wherein the housing is configured to open, wherein the housing is configured to withstand a certain amount of pressure;   inserting a cartridge into the housing; and   securing the cartridge in the housing.   
     
     
         17 . The method of  claim 16 , wherein the housing is opened by opening a lid. 
     
     
         18 . The method of  claim 16 , wherein the housing is opened by unbolting a central flange. 
     
     
         19 . The method of  claim 16 , wherein the cartridge includes a storage solution. 
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 19 , wherein the storage solution is selected from the group consisting of 20% ethanol, an antimicrobial agent, a weak benzyl alcohol and a weak caustic solution. 
     
     
         21 . The method of  claim 16 , wherein securing the cartridge in the housing further comprises of providing a plurality of ribs disposed in the housing to secure the cartridge in the housing. 
     
     
         22 . The method of  claim 20 , further comprising washing the storage solution out of the cartridge. 
     
     
         23 . The method of  claim 22 , further comprising providing water or buffer to wash the storage solution.
