Uniquely identifiable playing cards

Abstract

A uniquely identifiable playing card includes: a flat material having a first surface and a second, opposite, parallel surface; the first surface having a card designator; and the second surface having a deck identifier.

1 . A plurality of playing cards, comprising:
 a plurality of playing cards defining a deck, the playing cards comprising a front play side and a back side, wherein the back side comprises a top half and a bottom half, further wherein the top half comprises a plurality of identifiable symbols and the bottom half comprises the plurality of identifiable symbols of the top half that have been rotated 180 degrees, the plurality of identifiable symbols of the cards being unique only to the deck, such that cards from another deck can be easily distinguished.   
   
   
       2 . The playing cards of  claim 1 , wherein the plurality of identifiable symbols comprises 20 symbols. 
   
   
       3 . A card utilizing a deck, consisting of:
 a flat material having a first surface and a second, opposite, parallel surface;   the first surface having a card designator; and   the second surface having a deck identifier.   
   
   
       4 . The card of  claim 3 , wherein the card is capable of mutual substitution with a second card having a similar card identifier. 
   
   
       5 . The card of  claim 3 , wherein the deck identifier uniquely distinguishes the deck from other decks of cards. 
   
   
       6 . The card of  claim 3 , wherein the deck comprises a plurality of the cards, each card in the deck having a different card identifier, and each card in the deck having the same deck identifier. 
   
   
       7 . The card of  claim 3 , wherein the deck identifier is a sequence of alphanumeric symbols. 
   
   
       8 . The card of  claim 3 , wherein the card represents a gaming token. 
   
   
       9 . The card of  claim 3 , wherein the card designator is identifiable by the eyes of a normal human player, and the deck identifier is identifiable by the eyes of a normal human player. 
   
   
       10 . A method of associating a card with a deck, comprising:
 providing an identifier on the card that uniquely identifies the deck.   
   
   
       11 . The method of  claim 10 , wherein the deck identifier is a sequence of alphanumeric symbols.
