Magnetic towel rack and towel system and method for its use

Abstract

The lifetime of a towel can be determined by how many times it is washed and dried; that is, the less frequent washing and drying, the longer the life of a towel. Consequently, most towels are used multiple times prior to washing and drying. This is true for a dish towel, tea towel, bath towel, and hand towel, amongst others. Additionally, if not hung carefully, a wet towel may fall onto the floor and require immediate washing. The current invention is towel and towel holder system and method for its use which addresses the aforementioned issues.

1 . A towel rack and towel system comprising a towel rack and at least one towel. 
   
   
       2 . The towel rack of  claim 1  is composed of a magnetic material. 
   
   
       3 . The rack of  claim 2  is further composed of rust of a coating which prevents rusting. 
   
   
       4 . The rack of  claim 2  defines at least one boundary which juts away from the surface of the rack. 
   
   
       5 . The towel rack of  claim 1  is composed of a non-magnetic material. 
   
   
       6 . The towel rack of  claim 5  comprises at least one magnetized grommet. 
   
   
       7 . The towel rack of  claim 5  comprises at least one magnetized strip. 
   
   
       8 . The towel of  claim 1  has at least one grommet permanently attached. 
   
   
       9 . The towel of  claim 1  has at least one grommet removably attached. 
   
   
       10 . The grommet of  claim 8  is made of a material that is ferromagnetic. 
   
   
       11 . The grommet of  claim 9  is made of a material that is ferromagnetic. 
   
   
       12 . A method to use the towel rack and towel system of  claim 1  comprising:
 (a) permanently or removably attaching the towel rack to a supporting structure;   (b) using the at least one grommet in at least one towel to attach towel to towel rack.
