Abstract

A heat dissipating fin has a skirt having distal and proximal edges formed on at least one edge of the heat dissipating fin and multiple fastening components. Each fastening component is formed on the skirt and abuts the fringe of an adjacent the heat dissipating fin and has a hook and a hook mount. The hook is formed on and protrudes from the distal edge of the skirt. The hook mount is formed in the proximal edge of the skirt and corresponds to the hook. Since the hook is easily mounted through the hook mount the heat dissipating fins can be fabricated to form a heat sink easily to reduce manufacturing costs.

2 . The heat dissipating fin as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the heat dissipating fin has two opposite edges and two skirts are respectively formed on the two edges.

3 . The heat dissipating fin as claimed in claim 2 , wherein two fastening components are respectively formed on the skirts.

4 . The heat dissipating fin as claimed in claim 3 , wherein each fastening component further has a guide panel being formed on and protruding from the distal edge of the corresponding skirt.

5 . The heat dissipating fin as claimed in claim 4 , wherein the hook is obliquely with the fin.

6 . The heat dissipating fin as claimed in claim 4 , wherein the hook of each fastening component is parallel with the fin.

7 . The heat dissipating fin as claimed in claim 5 , wherein the heat dissipating fin further comprises
at least one through hole being formed through the fin; and at least one sleeve being formed respectively around the at least one through hole and protruding from the heat dissipating fin.

8 . The heat dissipating fin as claimed in claim 6 , wherein the heat dissipating fin further comprises
at least one through hole being formed through the fin; and at least one sleeve being formed respectively around the at least one through hole and protruding from the heat dissipating fin.

9 . A heat sink comprising multiple heat dissipating fins being disposed parallelly and securely connected to adjacent heat dissipating fins and each heat dissipating fin having
at least one edge; at least one skirt being formed on and protruding respectively from the at least one edge and each skirt having a proximal and distal edge; and at least one set of least one fastening component being formed respectively on and corresponding respectively to the at least one skirt of the heat dissipating fin and each fastening component having a hook being formed on and protruding from the distal edge of the corresponding skirt and selectively hooking on one edge of an adjacent heat dissipating fin; and a hook mount being formed in the proximal edge of the corresponding skirt, corresponding to the hook of the fastening component and selectively receiving the hook of an adjacent heat dissipating fin.

10 . The heat sink as claim 9 , wherein each heat dissipating fin has two opposite edges and two skirts being formed respectively on the edges.

11 . The heat sink as claim 10 , wherein two fastening component are respectively formed on the skirts.

12 . The heat sink as claimed in claim 11 , wherein each fastening component further has a guide panel being formed on and protruding from the distal edge of the corresponding skirt.

13 . The heat sink as claimed in claim 12 , wherein the hook of each fastening component is obliquely with the fin.

14 . The heat sink as claimed in claim 12 , wherein the hook of each fastening component is parallel with the fin.
