Abstract
A garment including a one-way inlet line connected to a chamber formed by at least a portion of the front and back of the garment. The line extends through a portion of the garment to a designated location where warm air from the user's breath is distributed in the chamber. There is a second valve that the user operates to release the contained air, such as when one goes inside or when one wants to replenish the warm air after a period of time has passed.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A garment device for providing warmth to a user in a cold environment, comprising:
a chamber formed by at least a portion of the front and back of the garment; an inlet line having an open end proximate the user's mouth and positioned for receipt of the user's breath, the line extending into the chamber to a designated location where the user's breath is distributed in the chamber; a release valve in communication with the chamber and operable to maintain the chamber in a closed condition holding the user's breath therein and an open condition to release the user's breath when desired by the user.
2 . The device of claim 1 , wherein the inlet line includes a check valve inside the chamber to prevent flow of air back out the open end of the inlet line.
3 . The device of claim 1 , wherein the chamber is formed from an air and water impermeable material.
4 . The device of claim 1 , wherein the garment includes a front portion and back portion that are joined together to form the chamber.
5 . The device of claim 1 , wherein the inlet line includes a plurality of holes in at least the portion of the inlet line between the check valve and the release valve.
6 . The device of claim 1 , wherein the inlet line further extends from the release valve to a to a release point proximate the user's back.
7 . The device of claim 1 , wherein the garment is sized to be worn under other garments.
8 . A method for providing a garment to provide warmth to a user in a cold environment, comprising the steps of:
forming a chamber by at least a portion of the front and back of the garment; providing an inlet line having an open end proximate the user's mouth and positioned for receipt of the user's breath, the line being positioned to extend into the chamber to a designated location where the user's breath is distributed in the chamber; and providing a release valve in communication with the chamber and operable to maintain the chamber in a closed condition holding the user's breath therein and an open condition to release the user's breath when desired by the user.
9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the inlet line includes a check valve inside the chamber to prevent flow of air back out the open end of the inlet line.
10 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the chamber is formed from an air and water impermeable material.
11 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the garment includes a front portion and back portion that are joined together to form the chamber.
12 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the inlet line includes a plurality of holes in at least the portion of the inlet line between the check valve and the release valve.
13 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the inlet line further extends from the release valve to a to a release point proximate the user's back.
14 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the garment is sized to be worn under other garments.
15 . In a garment device for providing warmth to a user in a cold environment wherein the garment has a front and back portion, the improvement comprising:
forming a chamber from at least a portion of the front and back of the garment; positioning an inlet line having an open end proximate the user's mouth and positioned for receipt of the user's breath, the line extending into the chamber to a designated location where the user's breath is distributed in the chamber; and placing a release valve in communication with the chamber and operable to maintain the chamber in a closed condition holding the user's breath therein and an open condition to release the user's breath when desired by the user.
16 . The device of claim 15 , wherein the inlet line includes a check valve inside the chamber to prevent flow of air back out the open end of the inlet line.
17 . The device of claim 15 , wherein the chamber is formed from an air and water impermeable material.
18 . The device of claim 15 , wherein the garment includes a front portion and back portion that are joined together to form the chamber.
19 . The device of claim 15 , wherein the inlet line further extends from the release valve to a to a release point proximate the user's back.
20 . 5. The device of claim 15 , wherein the inlet line includes a plurality of holes in at least the portion of the inlet line downstream of the check valve.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
