Abstract

Tumor necrosis factors and their receptors have proven usefulness in both basic research and as therapeutics. The present invention provides a new human tumor necrosis factor receptor designated as “Ztnfr12.”

1 . An antibody or antibody fragment that specifically binds an isolated polypeptide comprising amino acid residues 1 to 69 of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2. 
     
     
         2 . An antibody or antibody fragment that specifically binds an isolated polypeptide consisting essentially of amino acid residues 1 to 69 of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2, wherein said polypeptide binds to ztnfr12 ligand. 
     
     
         3 . An antibody or antibody fragment that specifically binds an isolated polypeptide consisting of amino acid residues 1 to 69 of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2. 
     
     
         4 . The antibody of  claim 1 , wherein the antibody is a polyclonal antibody or a fragment thereof. 
     
     
         5 . The antibody of  claim 1  wherein the antibody is a murine monoclonal antibody or a humanized derivative thereof.
