Abstract
The invention provides BASB006 polypeptides and polynucleotides encoding BASB006 polypeptides and methods for producing such polypeptides by recombinant techniques. Also provided are diagnostic, prophylactic and therapeutic uses.

exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . An isolated polypeptide comprising an immunogenic fragment of at least 175 contiguous amino acids of SEQ ID NO:2, wherein the immunogenic fragment, when administered to a subject induces an antibody that binds to said fragment within SEQ ID NO:2.
2 . An isolated recombinant fusion protein comprising the polypeptide of claim 1 .
3 . An immunogenic composition comprising the polypeptide of claim 1 and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
4 . The immunogenic composition of claim 3 , further comprising an adjuvant.
5 . The immunogenic composition of claim 3 , further comprising at least one other Neisseria meningitidis antigen other than a polypeptide comprising SEQ ID NO:2.
6 . An immunogenic composition comprising the fusion protein of claim 2 and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
7 . A method for inducing an antibody in a mammal comprising administering the polypeptide of claim 1 to the mammal in an amount effective to induce an antibody.
8 . An isolated polypeptide comprising an immunogenic fragment of at least 957 contiguous amino acids of SEQ ID NO:4, wherein the immunogenic fragment, when administered to a subject induces an antibody that binds to said fragment within SEQ ID NO:4.
9 . An isolated recombinant fusion protein comprising the polypeptide of claim 8 .
10 . An immunogenic composition comprising the polypeptide of claim 8 and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
11 . The immunogenic composition of claim 10 , further comprising at least one other Neisseria meningitidis antigen other than a polypeptide comprising SEQ ID NO:4.
12 . The immunogenic composition of claim 10 , further comprising an adjuvant.
13 . An immunogenic composition comprising the fusion protein of claim 9 and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
14 . A method for inducing an antibody in a mammal comprising administering the polypeptide of claim 8 to the mammal in an amount effective to induce an antibody.
15 . An isolated protein comprising a polypeptide having at least 97% identity with the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2, wherein the protein, when administered to a subject induces an antibody that binds to said polypeptide.
16 . An immunogenic composition comprising the protein of claim 15 and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
17 . The immunogenic composition of claim 16 , further comprising an adjuvant.
18 . A method for inducing an antibody in a mammal comprising administering the protein of claim 15 to the mammal in an amount effective to induce an antibody.
19 . An isolated protein comprising a polypeptide having at least 99.9% identity with the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:4, wherein the protein, when administered to a subject induces an antibody that binds to said polypeptide.
20 . An immunogenic composition comprising the protein of claim 19 and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
21 . The immunogenic composition of claim 19 , further comprising an adjuvant.
