Abstract

The present invention facilitates operations of updating, altering and/or otherwise recomposing the reproduction list of contents data prepared according to the frequency of reproduction, the priority of reproduction, the preference of the user and so on. There is provided a contents data reproduction apparatus for reproducing contents data, which includes a detecting section that detects the external force, a weighting information generating section that generates weighting information, a memory section that stores the weighting information, a reproduction control section that composes a reproduction list of the contents data, a reproduction section that reads out the contents data and reproducing them, and a display section that visibly displays the reproduction list, the reproduction control section recomposing the reproduction list of the contents data, referring to the weighting information, according to the outcome of detection of the detecting section and visibly displaying the reproduction list on the display section.

reorder the playlist into a second order in response to the detected acceleration; and
play the content items in the order indicated by the playlist.

13 . The content player apparatus of claim 12 , wherein:
the memory further stores weighting information associated with the content items, the weighting information indicating a playback priority of the content items, and the controller is further configured to generate the playlist based on the weighting information for the content items.

14 . The content player apparatus of claim 13 , wherein the controller is configured to reorder the playlist by:
modifying the weighting information associated with the content items listed in the playlist in response to the detected acceleration; and reordering the playlist based on the modified weighting information.

15 . The content player apparatus of claim 13 , wherein:
the weighting information corresponds to relative densities associated with the content items, and the controller is configured to generate the playlist based on the relative densities, such that a content item associated with a low relative density is listed at a higher position in the playlist than a content item associated with a high relative density.

16 . The content player apparatus of claim 15 , wherein the controller is configured to reorder the playlist by:
modifying the relative densities associated with the content items listed in the playlist in response to the detected acceleration; and reordering the playlist based on the modified relative densities.

17 . The content player apparatus of claim 12 , wherein the controller is further configured to restore the order of the playlist to the first order after a predetermined period of time elapses from detecting the acceleration.

18 . The content player apparatus of claim 12 , further comprising:
an output device configured to output, to a speaker, a signal based on the playing of the content items; and a display device configured to display the playlist.

19 . A method performed by a content player apparatus, comprising:
receiving a playlist listing content items in a first order; detecting an acceleration of the content player apparatus; and reordering the playlist into a second order in response to the detected acceleration.

20 . The method of claim 19 , further comprising:
storing weighting information associated with the content items, the weighting information indicating a playback priority of the content items; and generating the playlist based on the weighting information.

21 . The method for claim 20 , wherein reordering the playlist comprises:
modifying the weighting information associated with the content items listed in the playlist in response to the detected acceleration; and reordering the playlist based on the modified weighting information.

       22 . The method of claim 20 , wherein:
the weighting information corresponds to relative densities of the associated with the content items, and the playlist is generated based on the relative densities, such that a content item having a low relative density is listed at a higher position in the playlist than a content item having a high relative density.

23 . The method of claim 22 , wherein reordering the playlist comprises:
modifying the relative densities associated with the content items listed in the playlist in response to the detected acceleration; and reordering the playlist based on the modified relative densities.

24 . The method of claim 19 , further comprising restoring the playlist to the first order after a predetermined period of time elapses from detecting the acceleration.

25 . The method of claim 19 , further comprising:
playing the stored content items in the order indicated by the playlist; outputting, to a speaker, a signal based on the playing of the content items; and displaying the playlist on a display device.

26 . A computer-readable storage medium storing program instructions which, when executed by a content player apparatus, cause the content player apparatus to perform a method, the method comprising:
receiving a playlist listing content items in a first order; detecting an acceleration of the content player apparatus; reordering the playlist into a second order in response to the detected acceleration; and playing the content items in the order indicated by the playlist.

27 . The computer-readable storage medium of claim 26 , the method further comprising:
storing weighting information associated with the content items, the weighting information indicating a playback priority of the content items; and generating the playlist based on the weighting information.
