Abstract

Preserving container, characterized in that a sample container ( 1 ) closable with a lid ( 2 ) is arranged in a storage container ( 3 ) provided with a sealing cover ( 4 ), in that the sample container ( 1 ) has separated cavities ( 5 ), in which sample carriers can be positioned without contacting any wall- and bottom of the sample container ( 1 ), and in that sample container ( 1 ) and lid ( 2 ) are made of diffusion permeable material and the storage container ( 3 ) as well as cover ( 4 ) are made of diffusion impermeable material.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A preserving container comprising:
a sample container comprising a lid and a plurality of cavities, each of the cavities being separated from each other and a storage container comprising a sealing cover, wherein the sample container is configured to be placed in the storage container, wherein the sample container is made of a diffusion permeable material and the storage container is made of a diffusion impermeable material, and wherein the sample container is designed in such a way that a sample carrier, which is configured to be inserted into one or more of the plurality of the cavities to deliver the sample, does not contact any wall or bottom of the cavity (cavities) in which the sample carrier is inserted.

2 . The preserving container of claim 1 , characterized in that one or more of swabtips or shaft swabs can be arranged as said sample carrier in the cavity (cavities) and that the sample container is dimensionally adjusted, respectively.

3 . The preserving container of claim 1 , wherein the preserving container comprises an open space located between the plurality of cavities such that air is configured to circulate between the cavities through said open space when the sample container is placed in the storage container.

4 . The preserving container of claim 1 , wherein the sample container comprises 96 or more cavities.

5 . The preserving container according to claim 1 , wherein all of the plurality of the cavities are configured to be sealed with the lid.

6 . The preserving container according to claim 1 , wherein the storage container comprises a plurality of the sample containers.

7 . The Preserving container according to claim 1 , wherein a humidity indicator is located within or on the preserving container.

       8 . A method of preserving a sample, comprising:
providing the sample in a sample carrier; positioning the sample carrier in a sample container of the preserving container according to claim 1 without contacting any wall or bottom of the sample container; and delivering the sample from the sample carrier to the sample container.
