Protective glove

Abstract

A protective glove for a hand, a wrist and a forearm portion of a user may include a body member. The body member may be adapted to cover the hand, the wrist and the forearm portion of the user. The protective glove further includes a plurality of patches. The plurality of patches may be carried by at least one preselected area of the body member. Each patch of the plurality of patches may be composed of a rawhide material.

1 . A protective glove for a hand, a wrist and a forearm portion of a user, the protective glove comprising:
 a body member adapted to cover the hand, the wrist and the forearm portion of the user; and   a plurality of patches carried by at least one preselected area of the body member, wherein each patch of the plurality of patches is composed of a rawhide material.   
   
   
       2 . The protective glove of  claim 1 , wherein the body member comprises:
 a hand cover portion adapted to cover the hand of the user;   a wrist cover portion extending from the hand cover portion, wherein the wrist cover portion is adapted to cover the wrist of the user; and   a forearm cover portion extending from the wrist cover portion, wherein the forearm cover portion is adapted to cover the forearm portion of the user.   
   
   
       3 . The protective glove of  claim 2 , wherein the hand cover portion comprises:
 a base cover portion adapted to cover a palm area and a back area of the hand of the user; and   a plurality of finger sheaths extending outwardly from the base cover portion, wherein each finger sheath of the plurality of finger sheaths is adapted to cover a digit of the hand of the user.   
   
   
       4 . The protective glove of  claim 3 , wherein a preselected area of the at least one preselected area is a tip portion of a finger sheath of the plurality of finger sheaths. 
   
   
       5 . The protective glove of  claim 3 , wherein a preselected area of the at least one preselected area is a part of the base cover portion. 
   
   
       6 . The protective glove of  claim 2 , wherein a preselected area of the at least one preselected area is the forearm cover portion. 
   
   
       7 . The protective glove of  claim 2 , wherein a preselected area of the at least one preselected area is the wrist cover portion. 
   
   
       8 . The protective glove of  claim 1 , wherein the body member is composed of a leather material. 
   
   
       9 . The protective glove of  claim 8 , wherein the leather material is a heavy-duty leather material. 
   
   
       10 . The protective glove of  claim 1  further comprising a pocket carried by the body member, wherein the pocket is adapted to accommodate at least one article therein. 
   
   
       11 . The protective glove of  claim 1  further comprising a pocket carried by at least one patch of the plurality of patches, wherein the pocket is adapted to accommodate at least one article therein.
