Aromatic Test Kit

Abstract

The invention generally relates to familiarization and training in practice and art of olfactory recognition of wine properties. The invention relates to a kit which is a package containing samples of aromatic solutions and corresponding information cards. In one embodiment, the invention relates to the use of certain chemical compounds within a kit for teaching odor recognition relevant to wine evaluation.

1 . An aromatic test kit comprising:
 A package, where situated within the package is at least one container of a chemical solution and a corresponding at least one card with a surface, said card having printed characters on the surface, said characters representing information about said chemical solution.   
     
     
         2 . The test kit of  claim 1  where the description is comprised of at least one of: the molecule name, synonyms, CAS number, chemical formula, weight, volatility, usual concentration in the wine, its threshold of perception in the wine, comments about its synthesis in the wine production, other occurrences in the nature, its olfactory category, aromatic description, and classification. 
     
     
         3 . The test kit of  claim 1  where the solution is a compound dilted with propylene glycol. 
     
     
         4 . The test kit of  claim 1  where the containers contain at least one or more of the compounds selected from each of the following groups: acid notes, sulfur notes, vegetal/green notes and pheonols. 
     
     
         5 . The test kit of  claim 1  where the at least one containers as a group contain a solution comprised of at least each of: Vinegar acid, Ethyl acetate, Methyl sulfhydrate, 4 MMP, .Beta-gamma hexenol; Mushroom alcohol; 2,4,6-trichloroanisole; Para-vinyl phenol; Whiskey lactone, Acetic aldehyde, Rose ketone, Dimethyl glyoxal and Isoamyl acetate.
