Fragrance releasing scented plug or insert comprising shoes and outsoles

Abstract

The present invention provides at least one outsole and at least one shoe comprising an outside wearable surface layer of a shoe sole comprising an added fragrance provided in an insert or plug that is released and has an aroma when the shoe is at rest or there is friction being applied to the sole surface.

1 . At least one shoe comprising an outsole, wherein said outsole comprises:
 a. at least one void comprising a receptacle for at least one scented plug or insert on said outsole; and   b. at least one scented plug or insert comprising at least one added fragrance, wherein   (1) said added fragrance is released when said plug or insert is at rest, or when said plug or insert is in use due to friction, heat buildup, and wear; and   (2) said shoe is selected from an athletic shoe, an exercise shoe, a work boot, a casual shoe, a casual boot, a dress shoe, a dress boot, a sandal, a slipper, or an open toed athletic shoe, an exercise shoe, a casual shoe, or a dress shoe.   
     
     
         2 . The shoe of  claim 1 , wherein said scented plug or insert further comprises at least one selected from an added pheromone, a color, a reflective visual component, a refractive visual component, a sparkling visual component, a shining visual component, a holographic visual component, a jewel-like visual component, a pearlescent visual component, a fluorescent visual component, and a glow-in-the dark visual component. 
     
     
         3 . The shoe of  claim 1 , wherein said at least one fragrance comprises two or more fragrances. 
     
     
         4 . The shoe of  claim 1 , wherein said at least one shoe comprises a first shoe and a second shoe. 
     
     
         5 . The shoe of  claim 3 , wherein said at least one added fragrance is provided in said plug or insert of said first shoe. 
     
     
         6 . The shoe of  claim 5 , wherein a second added fragrance is provided in said outsole of said second shoe. 
     
     
         7 . The shoe of  claim 1 , wherein said outsole further comprises where at least one selected from at least one fragrance or at least one pheromone is added to the construction materials of said outsole, wherein said fragrance or said pheromone is released when said outsole is at rest, and when said outsole is in use due to friction, heat buildup, and wear. 
     
     
         8 . A shoe outsole comprising:
 a. at least one void comprising a receptacle for at least one scented plug or insert; and   b. at least one scented plug or insert comprising at least one added fragrance   wherein said added fragrance is released when said plug or insert is at rest or when said plug or insert is in use due to friction, heat buildup, and wear.   
     
     
         9 . The outsole of  claim 8 , wherein said fragrance is comprised in at least one first plug or insert in said void in said outsole. 
     
     
         10 . The outsole of  claim 8 , wherein said scented plug or insert further comprises at least one selected from an added pheromone, a color, a reflective visual component, a refractive visual component, a sparkling visual component, a shining visual component, a holographic visual component, a jewel-like visual component, a pearlescent visual component, a fluorescent visual component, and a glow-in-the dark visual component. 
     
     
         11 . The outsole of  claim 8 , wherein said at least one fragrance comprises two or more fragrances. 
     
     
         12 . The outsole of  claim 8 , wherein said at least one plug or insert comprises a first plug or insert and a second plug or insert. 
     
     
         13 . The outsole of  claim 8 , wherein said at least one added fragrance is provided as a first added fragrance and a second added fragrance. 
     
     
         14 . The outsole of  claim 13 , wherein said first added fragrance is provided in said first plug or insert. 
     
     
         15 . The outsole of  claim 13 , wherein said second added fragrance is provided in said second plug or insert. 
     
     
         16 . The outsole of  claim 8 , wherein said outsole further comprises where at least one selected from at least one fragrance or at least one pheromone is added to the construction materials of said outsole, wherein said fragrance or said pheromone is released when said outsole is at rest, and when said outsole is in use due to friction, heat buildup, and wear. 
     
     
         17 . A shoe comprising an outsole comprising at least one added pheromone, wherein said shoe is selected from an athletic shoe, an exercise shoe, a work boot, a casual shoe, a casual boot, a dress shoe, a dress boot, a sandal, a slipper, or an open toed athletic shoe, an exercise shoe, a casual shoe, or a dress shoe. 
     
     
         18 . The shoe of  claim 17 , wherein said outsole comprises at least one added pheromone added to the construction materials of said outsole, further comprising where at least one fragrance is added to said construction materials of said outsole, wherein said pheromone and fragrance is released when said outsole is at rest, and when said outsole is in use due to friction, heat buildup, and wear. 
     
     
         19 . The shoe of  claim 17 , wherein said outsole comprises:
 a. at least one void comprising a receptacle for at least one plug or insert; and   b. at least one plug or insert comprising said at least one added pheromone.   wherein said added pheromone is released when said plug or insert is at rest, and when said plug or insert is in use due to friction, heat buildup, and wear.   
     
     
         20 . The shoe of  claim 17 , wherein said outsole comprises:
 a. at least one void comprising a receptacle for at least one plug or insert;   b. at least one plug or insert comprising said at least one added pheromone; and,   c. at least one selected from at least one pheromone or at least one fragrance is added to the construction materials of said outsole.   wherein said pheromone and fragrance is released when said, plug, insert, or outsole is at rest, or when said plug, insert, or outsole is in use due to friction, heat buildup, and wear.
