Nucleic acid encoding a novel dp receptor protein and methods of use thereof

Abstract

Described herein is a novel member of the prostanoid receptor family, a guinea pig prostaglandin D2 receptor. Described are the receptor, the nucleic acid that encodes it, and various uses for both.

1 . An antibody or a fragment thereof specific for the recombinant polypeptide comprising SEQ ID NO:2. 
     
     
         2 . The antibody or the fragment thereof of  claim 1 , wherein the antibody is selected from the group consisting of a monoclonal antibody, a polyclonal antibody, and a chimeric antibody. 
     
     
         3 . The antibody or the fragment thereof of  claim 2 , further comprising a detectable label. 
     
     
         4 . The antibody or the fragment thereof of  claim 3 , wherein a detectable label comprises an enzyme, a radioactive isotope, a chemical which fluoresces, or an antigenic peptide tag recognizable by antibodies.
