Collapsible structures

Abstract

A collapsible structure has a base panel that includes separate first and second sides, a foldable frame member having a folded and an unfolded orientation, and a fabric material covering portions of the frame member to form the base panel when the frame member is in the unfolded orientation. The structure also includes first and second loops, each loop having a foldable frame member having a folded and an unfolded orientation. The first side of the base panel is coupled to the first loop, and the second side of the base panel is coupled to the second loop.

       16 . A collapsible structure that rests on a surface, comprising:
 a first loop and a second loop, each loop having a foldable frame member that defines a periphery;   a panel having a periphery that includes separate first and second sides, a foldable frame member, and a panel fabric material covering the frame member to form the panel, the first side of the panel attached to the first loop and the second side of the panel attached to the second loop;   a covering fabric material extending between the loops and attached to the periphery of the loops and to the panel; and   wherein the size of the periphery of the loops is larger than the size of the periphery of the panel.   
   
   
       17 . The structure of  claim 16 , wherein the loops are parallel to each other. 
   
   
       18 . The structure of  claim 16 , wherein the loops have the same size and shape. 
   
   
       19 . The structure of  claim 16 , wherein the panel is a first panel, and further including a second panel having a periphery that includes separate first and second sides, a second foldable frame member, and a second panel fabric material covering the second frame member to form the second panel, with the first side of the second panel attached to the first loop and the second side of the second panel attached to the second loop. 
   
   
       20 . The structure of  claim 19 , wherein the first and second panels are parallel to each other.
