Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A method of forming an edible pet chew, said method comprising:
providing a plant based mixture that is extrudable and initially malleable; forming said initially malleable plant based mixture into a first sheet; providing a second sheet made from flavor material; placing said first and second sheets in superimposed relation and rolling said first and second sheets up to have said first sheet and second sheet forming alternating layers; and hardening said first sheet after it is wrapped with said second sheet.

2 . A method as defined in claim 1 further comprising:
tying the ends of said edible pet chew into knots before hardening said first sheet.

3 . A method as defined in claim 2 wherein:
said first sheet comprising a plant protein composition; and said second sheet being a meat based material.

4 . A method as defined in claim 3 wherein:
said first sheet comprising from a plant protein and gelatin composition; and said second sheet comprising a meat jerky.

5 . A method as defined in claim 4 wherein:
wrapping said first sheet about said second sheet to form an outer layer of said edible pet chew.

6 . A method as defined in claim 1 wherein:
said first sheet is wrapped about said second sheet to form an outer layer of said edible pet chew.

7 . A method of forming an edible pet chew, said method comprising:
molding a plant hard mixture that is initially malleable into a three dimensional shape with a cavity therein; and filling said cavity with a flavored dried material.

8 . A method as defined in claim 7 further comprising:
said filling said cavity is with a dried or cured animal flesh.
