Controlling product information

Abstract

Methods, computer readable media, and systems including program instructions are provided for use with virtual product showrooms. A method embodiment includes providing a website with product information for a number of products offered by a distributor to a reseller. The embodiment also includes receiving a price control input, for a particular product from among the number of products, from the reseller, through the website. The embodiment further includes displaying product information, for the particular product, on the website, to a potential purchaser, based on the price control input.

1 . A method comprising:
 providing a website with product information for a number of products offered by a distributor to a reseller;   receiving a price control input, for a particular product from among the number of products, from the reseller, through the website; and   displaying product information, for the particular product, on the website, to a potential purchaser, based on the price control input.   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , including receiving a price control input to remove price information when displaying the product information. 
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 1 , including receiving a price control input to display price information with a particular reseller markup selected from a set of preset reseller markups when displaying the product information. 
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 1 , including receiving a price control input to display price information with a particular reseller markup selected for all reseller locations when displaying the product information. 
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 1 , including receiving a number of price control inputs to display price information with a number of different particular reseller markups selected for a number of different particular reseller locations when displaying the product information. 
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 1 , including receiving a price control input to display price information with a particular percentage reseller markup when displaying the product information. 
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 1 , including receiving a price control input to display price information with a particular fixed currency reseller markup when displaying the product information. 
     
     
         8 . The method of  claim 1 , including receiving a price control input to display price information that yields a particular reseller margin when displaying the product information. 
     
     
         9 . A system, comprising:
 a processor;   a memory, connected to the processor; and   program instructions storable in the memory and executable by the processor to:
 provide a website with product information for a number of products offered by a distributor to a reseller; 
 receive a price control input, for a particular product from among the number of products, from the reseller, through the website; and 
 display product information, for the particular product, on the website, to a potential purchaser, based on the price control input. 
   
     
     
         10 . The system of  claim 9 , including program instructions storable in the memory and executable by the processor to receive a price control input to remove price information when displaying the product information.

The system of  claim 9 , including program instructions storable in the memory and executable by the processor to receive a price control input to display price information with a particular reseller markup selected from a set of preset reseller markups when displaying the product information. 
     
     
         12 . The system of  claim 9 , including program instructions storable in the memory and executable by the processor to receive a price control input to display price information with a particular reseller markup selected for all reseller locations when displaying the product information. 
     
     
         13 . The system of  claim 9 , including program instructions storable in the memory and executable by the processor to receive a number of price control inputs to display price information with a number of different particular reseller markups selected for a number of different particular reseller locations when displaying the product information. 
     
     
         14 . The system of  claim 9 , including program instructions storable in the memory and executable by the processor to receive a price control input to display price information with a particular percentage reseller markup when displaying the product information. 
     
     
         15 . The system of  claim 9 , including program instructions storable in the memory and executable by the processor to receive a price control input to display price information with a particular fixed currency reseller markup when displaying the product information. 
     
     
         16 . The system of  claim 9 , including program instructions storable in the memory and executable by the processor to receive a price control input to display price information that yields a particular reseller margin when displaying the product information. 
     
     
         17 . A system comprising:
 a processor;   a memory, connected to the processor; and   program instructions storable in the memory and executable by the processor to:
 receive particular log-in information through a website; 
 determine particular unbranded product information and a particular custom brand, which correspond with the particular log-in information; and 
 display the particular unbranded product information in association with the particular custom brand, on the website. 
   
     
     
         18 . The system of  claim 17 , including program instructions executable to display the particular unbranded product information in a particular manner based on a particular reseller account level selection. 
     
     
         19 . The system of  claim 18 , including program instructions executable to display the particular unbranded product information including particular price information based on a price control input for a particular reseller markup. 
     
     
         20 . The system of  claim 17 , including program instructions executable to display the particular unbranded product information with price information removed from display to a potential customer based on a price control input to remove price information.
