Medication disposal system

Abstract

Medication is disposed of by rending the medication, including medicaments stored in blister packs and transdermal patches, and aggregating the riven medication with a disposal medium that is suitable for burial or incineration. Burial or incineration of the aggregated disposal medium and the riven medication reduces the likelihood of water contamination.

1 . A method for disposing of a medication comprising the steps of:
 (a) rending said medication;   (b) aggregating said riven medication with a disposal medium suitable for at least one of burial and incineration; and   (c) disposing of said aggregation of riven medication and disposal medium by one of burial and incineration.   
   
   
       2 . The method for disposing of a medication of  claim 1 , further comprising the steps of:
 (a) extracting a liquid medicament from a vial;   (b) aggregating said liquid medicament and said disposal medium; and   (c) disposing of said aggregation of liquid medication and disposal medium by one of burial and incineration.
