Abstract
The invention relates to a casting tool for the production of castings, particularly for the production of cores ( 90 ) for sand castings, comprising a supporting device consisting of a first and a second supporting unit ( 10, 20, 50, 60 ) capable of being moved in a joining direction ( 2 ) toward each other, and comprising at least two mold elements ( 30, 40 ), of which a first mold element ( 30 ) is attached to the first supporting unit ( 10, 20 ) and a second mold element ( 40 ) is secured to the second supporting unit ( 50, 60 ), which mold elements ( 30, 40 ) each have a mold recess ( 33, 43 ), which mold recesses ( 33, 43 ) in the mold elements ( 30, 40 ) together define the shape of at least one casting core to be produced ( 90 ) when the first and second mold elements ( 30, 40 ) bear against each other. According to the present invention, one of the supporting units ( 10, 20 ) has a first peripheral frame ( 20 ) that surrounds the mold element ( 30 ) attached to said supporting unit ( 10, 20 ), and the frame ( 20 ), as multi-segment frame, is composed of at least two frame segments ( 22, 24, 26 ) joined together by positively effective securing means. The use thereof as a very simply and quickly produced core-casting tool.

comprising
a supporting device consisting of a first and second supporting unit, which can move toward each other in a joining direction,
at least two mold elements, of which a first mold element is mounted on said first supporting unit and of which a second mold element is mounted on said second supporting unit,
wherein
said mold elements each have a mold recess, and said mold recesses in said mold elements jointly define the shape of at least one workpiece to be fabricated when the first and the second mold elements bear against each other,
characterized in that
one of said supporting units has a first peripheral frame which surrounds the mold element attached to said supporting unit, and the frame as multi-segment frame is composed of at least two frame segments joined together by positively effective securing means.
2 . The casting tool as defined in claim 1 , characterized in that
said casting tool is configured as a core-casting tool for the production of casting cores.
3 . The casting tool as defined in claim 1 , characterized in that
said first peripheral frame is part of said first supporting unit.
4 . The casting tool as defined in claim 1 , characterized in that
said first supporting unit has a first supporting plate to which said mold element attached to said first supporting unit is attached and to which said first frame is attached.
5 . The casting tool as defined in claim 4 , characterized in that
said first frame is attached to said first supporting plate by means of releasable, positively effective securing means.
6 . The casting tool as defined in claim 1 , characterized in that
said second supporting unit has a second supporting plate, to which the mold element attached to said second supporting unit is attached.
7 . The casting tool as defined in claim 6 , characterized in that
said second supporting unit has a second peripheral frame, which is attached to that side of said second supporting plate which is remote from said first mold element.
8 . The casting tool as defined in claim 1 , characterized in that
said first frame and/or said second frame each have four side plates at right angles to each other as main segments which are joined together directly or indirectly via intermediate segments, particularly corner segments.
9 . The casting tool as defined in claim 8 , characterized in that
two opposing side plates have external depressions, preferably depressions at an upper edge of said side plate.
10 . The casting tool as defined in claim 8 , characterized in that
said corner segments are configured as profile sections extending in the joining direction, particularly extruded profile sections.
11 . The casting tool as defined in claim 8 , characterized in that
lifting rings are mounted on at least two opposing corner segments, and preferably on all four corner segments, and said lifting rings are each configured and mounted such that they do not protrude beyond the line of alignment of the side plates that are adjacent to the respective corner segment.
12 . The casting tool as defined in claim 1 , characterized in that
at least one of the following features is realized:
the side plates of the first and second frame match in terms of the following properties:
height of the side plates in the joining direction and length of the side plate at right angles to the joining direction,
thickness of the side plates,
connection bores for attachment to other side plates, the corner segments and/or a supporting plate and/or
the material of which the side plates are made,
the corner segments of the first and second frame match in terms of the following properties:
height of the corner segments in the joining direction,
cross-section of the corner segments,
connection bores for attachment to the side plates and/or the lifting rings, and/or
the material of which the corner segments are made,
the first supporting plate and the second supporting plate match in terms of the following properties:
weight of the supporting plates at right angles to the joining direction,
thickness of the supporting plates,
connection bores for attachment to the side plates and/or the mold elements and/or
material of which the supporting plates are made.
13 . The casting tool as defined in claim 1 , characterized in that
said first mold element is at a distance from said first frame, which distance, based on a plane whose perpendicular vector coincides with the joining direction, is in all directions at least 2 mm.
14 . The casting tool as defined in claim 1 , characterized in that
said first frame extends in the joining direction toward said second supporting unit less far than said first and said second mold element when bearing flush against each other.
15 . The casting tool as defined in claim 14 , characterized in that
on that side of the first frame which faces the opposing supporting unit a peripheral seal is provided which bears peripherally against said opposing supporting unit when the mold elements bear flush against each other.
16 . The casting tool as defined in claim 7 , characterized in that
said second frame at least partially surrounds a lifting device which has at least one ejector rod which extends in the joining direction and which is capable of being pushed through an ejector bore in said second supporting plate and through said second mold element into said mold recess in said second mold element.
17 . The casting tool as defined in claim 1 , characterized in that
said first and/or said second frame cover, in a plane whose perpendicular vector coincides with the joining direction, an area of at least 600 mm×600 mm, preferably an area of at least 1000 mm×1000 mm.
18 . The casting tool as defined in claim 1 , characterized in that
said first and/or said second frame consist, at least in part, of a material having a tensile strength of at least 400 N/mm 2 and preferably of at least 450 N/mm 2 , while preferably said side plates and/or said corner segments are made of this material, which material is preferably an aluminum alloy.
19 . A casting tool as defined in the preamble of claim 1 or in claim 1 ,
characterized in that said first supporting unit and/or said second supporting unit have a supporting plate to which the assigned mold element is attached and which are completely plane, preferably surface ground, at least on their side facing said mold element.
20 . The casting tool as defined in claim 19 , characterized in that
an peripheral frame is attached to said supporting plate by means of releasable, positively effective securing means.
21 . The casting tool as defined in claim 20 , characterized in that
said frame is configured as a multi-segment frame or as a frame in the form of a peripheral single unit.
22 . A core-making machine,
