Rotating Identification Container Band (RICB)

Abstract

The Rotating Identification Container Band (RICB) comprises a circular band with an opening in its wall that fits within a containers indentation and rotates around a container (i.e. cup). This invention offers a repeatable, dynamic way to identify the user of a cup within a small group of people (i.e. the family, daycare group, etc). This is accomplished by a rotating the band that is intrinsic to a cup. As the band rotates around the cup it displays one of the defined set of colour/name indicia in bands window opening. All cups within a set are identical, which allows each and every cup to be dynamically identified by a user.

1 . A Rotating Identification Container Band (RICB) comprising a circular band with an opening in its wall, intrinsic and revolving around a container (i.e. cup, sports bottle, toddler cup, baby bottle) displaying one of the defined set of colour/name indicia in the bands window opening. 
   
   
       2 . A RICB as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the container has a indentation the same height and width as the band permitting the band to be intrinsic to the container. 
   
   
       3 . A RICB as claimed in  claim 1  &  2 , wherein the band has an outward or inward corrugation in the bands inside face and the container has a corresponding complementary outward or inward corrugation within the containers indentation which allows the bands window opening to align with one of the defined set of colour/name indicia. 
   
   
       4 . A RICB as claimed in  claims 1  wherein the number of colour/name indicia is less than or equal to the circumference of the cups indentations divided by the bands window opening width. 
   
   
       5 . A RICB as claimed in  claims 1 & 4  wherein the colour/name indicia are the same for the whole set of containers and are displayed one at a time in the bands window opening by rotating the band around the container.
