Abstract

An apparatus, a signaling method, and a tangible machine-readable medium thereof for callback handover procedure in a femto-network are provided, wherein the femto-network comprising a plurality of femto base stations. The apparatus comprises a storage module, a receiving module, a transmission module, and a determination module. The storage module is configured to store and restore information of the femto BS, the information indicating a relation between the apparatus and the related stations. The receiving module is configured to receive the inbound handover signals and outbound handover signals. The transmission module is configured to transmit the inbound handover signals and outbound handover signals. The determination module is configured to determine whether generating inbound handover signals or outbound handover signals.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An apparatus for generating an inbound handover signal or an outbound handover signal in a femto-network, comprising:
a receiving module being configured to receive the inbound handover signal; a determination module being configured to determine whether generating the inbound handover signal or outbound handover signal; and a transmission module being configured to transmit the inbound handover signal and outbound handover signal.

2 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the transmission module is further configured to transmit an inbound handover signal according to the output of determination module and receiving module and the transmission module is further configured to transmit the outbound handover signal according to the determination module.

3 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the determination module is further configured to generate the reason codes for inbound handover signal and outbound handover signal.

4 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the determination module is further configured to decode the reason codes in inbound handover signal and outbound handover signal.

5 . An apparatus for executing inbound handover and outbound handover in a femto-network, comprising:
a receiving module being configured to receive the inbound/outbound handover signal; a determination module being configured to determine the execution of inbound or outbound handover according to the reason codes; and a storage module being configured to store/restore information of the femto BS, the information includes the femto BS identity, the operating channel, and so on.

6 . A signaling method for generating outbound handover signal in a femto-network, comprising the steps of:
determining the status of femto BS; determining the reason of the outbound handover signal; and transmitting the outbound handover signal.

7 . A signaling method for generating inbound handover signal in a femto-network, comprising the steps of:
determining the status of femto BS; determining the reason of the inbound handover signal; and transmitting the inbound handover signal.

8 . A signaling method for generating inbound handover signal in a femto-network, comprising the steps of:
receiving an inbound handover signal; determining the reason of the inbound handover signal; and transmitting the inbound handover signal.

9 . A tangible machine-readable medium storing a computer program to enable an apparatus to execute a signaling method for outbound handover in a femto-network, the signaling method comprising the steps of:
enabling the apparatus to determine that the service of femto BS is discontinuous and the reason code; and enabling the apparatus to transmit an outbound handover signal to MSs according to the disconnection status of femto BS.

10 . A tangible machine-readable medium storing a computer program to enable an apparatus to execute a signaling method for inbound handover in a femto-network, the signaling method comprising the steps of:
enabling the apparatus to determine that the discontinuous service of femto BS is recovered and the reason code; enabling the apparatus to receive an inbound handover signal intended to be transmitted to MSs; enabling the apparatus to transmit an inbound handover signal to femtoBS(s) according to the recovery status of femto BS; and enabling the apparatus to transmit an inbound handover signal to MS(s) according to the received inbound handover signal.

11 . A tangible machine-readable medium storing a computer program to enable an apparatus to execute outbound handover in a femto-network, the signaling method comprising the steps of:
enabling the apparatus to receive outbound handover signal; enabling the apparatus to determine the associated reason code; enabling the apparatus to store information of femto BS; and enabling the apparatus to handover to another femto BS.

12 . A tangible machine-readable medium storing a computer program to enable an apparatus to execute inbound handover in a femto-network, the signaling method comprising the steps of:
enabling the apparatus to receive inbound handover signal; enabling the apparatus to determine the associated reason code; enabling the apparatus to restore information of femto BS; and enabling the apparatus to handover to the previous femto BS.
