Protective Cover

Abstract

A multilayered fabric including a first base layer 1 including a polymer 2 exhibiting high temperature tolerance and water resistance, said the polymer being laminated with a cotton and/or polyester layer 3 adapted for comfortable contact with human skin, a second absorptive layer 4 including a moisture absorbent anti-fungal antibacterial layer including hemp and a third layer 5 including a decorative liquid permeable layer wherein said in which the multi-layered fabric is adapted for machine washing and drying.

1 . A multilayered fabric comprising:
 a first base layer including a polymer exhibiting high temperature tolerance and water resistance, said polymer being laminated with one of a cotton and polyester layer adapted for comfortable contact with human skin,   a second absorptive layer including a moisture absorbent anti-fungal antibacterial layer including hemp and   a third layer including a decorative liquid permeable layer   wherein said multi-layered fabric is adapted for machine washing and drying.   
   
   
       2 . A fabric according to  claim 1 , wherein said third layer further includes a liquid absorbing material. 
   
   
       3 . A fabric according to  claim 2 , wherein said third layer includes quilted cotton with polyester filler materials. 
   
   
       4 . A fabric according to  claim 1 , wherein said second absorptive layer includes a blend of cotton and hemp materials. 
   
   
       5 . A fabric according to  claim 4 , wherein said blend includes by weight 55% hemp and 45% cotton. 
   
   
       6 . A fabric according to  claim 1 , wherein said first layer comprises a polymeric lamination to one of a cotton and polyester layer wherein said polymer imports structural integrity to said fabric and any products manufactured from said fabric. 
   
   
       7 . A fabric according to  claim 1 , wherein said first layer is resistant to temperature of up to about 80° C. 
   
   
       8 . A fabric according to  claim 1 , wherein said polymeric first layer comprises a launderable barrier fabric. 
   
   
       9 . A garment manufactured from or including a multilayered fabric comprising:
 a first base layer including a polymer exhibiting high temperature tolerance and water resistance, said polymer being laminated with one of a cotton and polyester layer adapted for comfortable contact with human skin,   a second absorptive layer including a moisture absorbent anti-fungal antibacterial layer including hemp and   a third layer including a decorative liquid permeable layer,   wherein said multi-layered fabric is adapted for machine washing and drying.   
   
   
       10 . A garment according to  claim 9 , wherein the garment is one of a newborn, infant or adult bib. 
   
   
       11 . A protective cover manufactured from or including a multilayered fabric comprising:
 a first base layer including a polymer exhibiting high temperature tolerance and water resistance, said polymer being laminated with one of a cotton and polyester layer adapted for comfortable contact with human skin,   a second absorptive layer including a moisture absorbent anti-fungal antibacterial layer including hemp and   a third layer including a decorative liquid permeable layer,   wherein said multi-layered fabric is adapted for machine washing and drying.   
   
   
       12 . A cover according to  claim 11 , wherein the cover is any one of a nappy change mat, a pram protector, a “nappy off” mat, a car seat protector and a linen saver.
