Abstract
The invention concerns a method for manufacturing a suprastructure ( 7 ) with artificial teeth ( 8 ) which is mounted on at least one implant ( 9,10 ) that is provided in the cavity of the mouth of a person and that has to be fixed to the bone of the lower jaw or the upper jaw ( 1 ), whereby a drill jig ( 3 ) is manufactured with at least one opening ( 4 ) for performing a boring ( 5 ) in the bone for mounting said implant ( 9,10 ), with the feature that the position of said opening ( 4 ) in the drill jig ( 3 ) and the position of the latter is determined in relation to at least one reference organ ( 2 ) that is fixed to said bone.

exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . An aligning plate adapted to fit within the mouth of a person, comprising
at least one circular aperture ( 4 ), positioned for drilling a hole ( 5 ) in the bone of a lower or an upper jaw ( 1 ) of the person, in order to place at least one implant ( 9 , 10 ), wherein a diameter and an orientation of the aperture ( 4 ) corresponds to that of the implant ( 9 , 10 ), wherein said aligning plate has fixing means for fixing the aligning plate to at least one reference element ( 2 ) that is provided in the bone, the fixing means forming means for selecting the position of the aperture ( 4 ) relative to the reference element to permit the hole ( 5 ) to be drilled in the jaw ( 1 ), which hole corresponds to a desired position of the implant ( 9 , 10 ) relative to the reference element ( 2 ) so that critical anatomical structures are not touched during drilling.
2 . The aligning plate according to claim 1 , wherein the means has an opening that connects up in a substantially exact fit with the reference element ( 2 ).
3 . The aligning plate according to claim 2 , wherein said aligning plate is detachably fixed to the reference element ( 2 ) by at least one screw ( 14 ) or bolt.
4 . The aligning plate according to claim 1 , wherein a diameter of the abovementioned aperture ( 4 ) is selected so that at least one bush can be placed for drilling the hole ( 5 ) in said aperture ( 4 ), in order to guide a drill for drilling the hole ( 5 ).
5 . An aligning plate adapted to fit within the mouth of a person, the aligning plate produced according to the method of claim 1 and comprising:
at least one circular aperture ( 4 ), positioned for drilling a hole ( 5 ) in the bone of a lower or an upper jaw ( 1 ) of the person, in order to place at least one implant ( 9 , 10 ), wherein a diameter and an orientation of the aperture ( 4 ) corresponds to that of the implant ( 9 , 10 ), wherein said aligning plate has fixing means for fixing the aligning plate to at least one reference element ( 2 ) that is provided in the bone, the position of the aperture ( 4 ) relative to the fixing means being selected and provided in such a way that it permits the hole ( 5 ) to be drilled in the jaw ( 1 ), which hole corresponds to a desired position of the implant ( 9 , 10 ) relative to the reference element ( 2 ) so that critical anatomical structures are not touched during drilling.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
