Packaging for food products, method and corresponding device

Abstract

An hermetic package for food products (P), such as confectionary products, chocolates, pralines, chocolate eggs, etc., including a wrapper of sheet material airtight sealed ( 2 ) around the product (P) and having one, or preferably two, extremity portions ( 3 ) twisted bow-like according to a general candy-like configuration. The bow or each bow ( 3 ) has a distal edge ( 3 a ) with a zigzag patterned or other shaped incision ( 4 ) susceptible of providing a triggering point for the tearing of the wrapper. Preferably, the wrapping material is an oriented film.

       22 . A package for food products including a sheet of wrapping material air-tight sealed around at least one product and provided with at least one bow-like twisted extremity portion having a distal edge, in which said distal edge has at least one triggering point for the tearing of said wrapper. 
   
   
       23 . A package according to  claim 22 , in which said sheet material is constituted of an oriented film having the oriented direction longitudinal with respect to the package. 
   
   
       24 . A package according to  claim 22 , in which said distal edge has a general zigzag pattern with V-shaped incisions susceptible to providing triggering points for the tearing of said wrapper. 
   
   
       25 . A package according to  claim 22 , in which said distal edge has a general zigzag pattern, with rounded incisions along the external perimeter and V-shaped incisions along the internal perimeter so to provide respective triggering points ( 4 ) for the tearing of said wrapper. 
   
   
       26 . A package according to  claim 22 , in which said distal edge has a configuration such to create a plurality of triggering points for the tearing of said wrapper. 
   
   
       27 . A package according to  claim 22 , in which said wrapper has a sealing line extending in a general arch-like trajectory around said at least one product.

A package according to  claim 27 , in which said wrapper is wrapped around said at least one product according to a general U-conformation with said product housed in the loop part of said U-configuration, and in which said sealing line has its extremities in correspondence with said loop part. 
   
   
       29 . A package according to  claim 22 , in which said at least one extremity portion, has a minimum length equal to 5 millimetres and a maximum length equal to 5 millimetres plus the dimension of the wrapped product. 
   
   
       30 . A method for packaging food products in a wrapper of air-tight sealed sheet material around at least one product and provided with at least one bow-like twisted extremity portion having a distal edge, the method including the operation of providing said distal edge with at least one triggering point for the tearing of said wrapper. 
   
   
       31 . A method according to  claim 30 , including the operation of using, as said sheet material, an oriented film with the oriented direction aligned longitudinally with respect to the package. 
   
   
       32 . A method according to  claim 30 , including the operation of providing said distal edge with a general zigzag pattern having V-shaped incisions susceptible to forming respective triggering points for the tearing of said wrapper.

A method according to  claim 30 , including the operation of providing said distal edge with said distal edge having a general zigzag pattern with rounded incisions along the external perimeter and V-shaped incisions along the internal perimeter so to form respective triggering points for the tearing of said wrapper. 
   
   
       34 . A method according to  claim 30 , including the operation of providing said distal edge with a configuration such to create a plurality of triggering points for the tearing of said wrapper. 
   
   
       35 . A method according to  claim 30 , including the operation of realizing said sealing line along a general arch-like trajectory around said at least one product.

A method according to  claim 35 , including the operation of wrapping said wrapper around said at least one product according to a general U-conformation with said product housed in the loop part of said U-configuration and the operation of providing said sealing line with its extremities in correspondence with said loop part.

Device for the packaging of food products in a wrapper of sheet material airtight sealed around at least one product and provided with at least one bow-like twisted extremity portion having a distal edge, the device including a unit to provide said distal edge with at least one triggering point for the tearing of said wrapper. 
   
   
       38 . A device according to  claim 37 , including a cutting unit to provide said distal edge with a general zigzag pattern having V-shaped incisions susceptible to forming respective triggering points for the tearing of said wrapper.

A device according to  claim 37 , including a cutting unit to provide said distal edge with a general zigzag pattern having rounded incisions along the external perimeter and V-shaped incisions along the internal perimeter so to form respective triggering points for the tearing of said wrapper. 
   
   
       40 . A device according to  claim 37 , including a cutting unit to provide said distal edge with a configuration such to create a plurality of triggering points for the tearing of said wrapper. 
   
   
       41 . A device according to  claim 37 , including a sealing unit to realize said sealing line according to a general arch-like trajectory around said at least one product.

A device according to  claim 41 , including a shaping tool to wrap said wrapper around said at least one product according to a general U-conformation with said product housed in the loop part of said U-configuration, with said sealing unit providing said sealing line, having its extremities in correspondence with said loop part.
